Your analogy is 100% wrong.

The only "resources" you need in order to learn are willing teachers, and there are plenty.

The reason this doesn't appeal to you is that you won't be issued a sheepskin recognized as valid (and thus able to open doors for you) by the ruling class.

The answer to this is obvious: stop deferring/groveling to the ruling class for its approval. Create your own institutions -- not only of learning, but of making use of it afterward -- completely outside their purview.

This is anarchism 101. Build the new world inside the shell of the old. Live, to the extent possible, as though you were already free, as though the ruling class didn't exist.
