It is trendy to be "radical" there, and there are a lot of young "self-identified" anarchists who will drop out of the movement within a year or two and later tell their suburban rugrats about the glory days when momma used to fight the cops...what's worse is they know next to nothing about anarchist theory or practice, but think it's cool to call themselves that.
I've seen this cycle repeat a few times now.
Kudos to the ones that stick it out, but very few do. And of course there is great work being done there--but mostly the ratio of self-righteous hot air to concrete activity is about 90:1
