Fire To Cleanse The Earth: International Solidarity Call From Greece

A movement that is not capable of looking after its comrades in prison is destined to die, and that at a high price under atrocious torture.

- Daniela Carmignani, Revolutionary Solidarity

The insurrection in December was a visible and mass expression of the social war that rages at all times and will continue until the destruction of all domination.

Thousands fought in the re-appropriated streets of the necropolis. Hundreds were arrested and, with exceptionally swift procedures, several were thrown in prison. Six of them still remain imprisoned up to this day. Because for those in power someone has to pay the price for the negation in practice shown by all of us against this decaying world.

Within the first two weeks of June the remaining prisoners of December, amongst them the anarchist A.Kiriakopoulos, will be coming in front of a board of judges who will determine whether their imprisonment will be extended. Days of action will take place between the 12-15 of June in solidarity across Greece.

Prison is a direct and violent tool that power has at its disposal to use against those that are not able or refuse to follow its rules. Especially in moments of intensified struggle or revolt, prison plays the role of isolating the “troublemakers” to weaken our collective attack and instill fear in those who may be willing to join the fight. In this way, prison and the justice system are structures that aim to inhibit the generalization of social conflict. Therefore, solidarity with all those imprisoned for the insurrection in December is necessary for the furtherance of the revolutionary project.

Solidarity should not be viewed through the lens of duty, obligation or charity nor does it require a personal relationship or absolute political identification with those imprisoned but is a means to strengthen our ties as collaborators in a conspiracy against the existent. Solidarity is our weapon by which we attack not only the prison but all the structures of power in a continuation of the social struggle as a whole. At the same time, solidarity is a tool used to obtain the immediate practical result of freeing our comrades in prison.

This is a call to comrades wherever they may be to start a wave of solidarity that sends shudders down the spine of the bastards in power. Let’s prove to them that the Athens syndrome is indeed a contagious disease.

Inside and outside the prison bars, the insurrectionary perspective is a permanent condition which does not wait for a specific moment, does not accept charity but attacks directly, everywhere, always.

To play devils advocate just

To play devils advocate just to show some perspective, if we are to agree that prisons and the justice system is a tool designed to instill fear into those who might join in on revolutionary action what about those who are in jail for non-political purposes like white collar crimes, torture crimes, murder crimes and rape crimes excluding statutory rape where the girl is 17 and guy 18 scenario.

There are some people who I believe deserve to be locked up though. Those who are mentally ill should receive proper special treatment not in a jail or prison but mental institution. There are too many mentally ill people locked up in prisons and that is an injustice. A lot of the crimes that are committed are drug related crimes but why do people feel the need to numb them selves up with drugs and alcohol all the time? What are the conditions that would cause somebody to poison them selves for a temporary relief from reality; lack of opportunity perhaps which can be combined with low education with lack of wealth and liquor stores on every street corner with advertisements of people living a life of pleasure wear and consuming things that they don’t have even though they really don’t need those things in order to be happy. The pressure to keep up with the rest of the world and on to always be on top of everything and to not fall behind etc etc. Life would be so much easier if you could just rob a $500,000 from a bank and fly off in a helicopter to Geneva Switzerland and never turn back. It’s no wonder we have so many problems with depression, crime and people trying to escape reality and getting trouble with the law developing drug problems and going in and out of jail or DEATH.

With poverty being the root cause of crime I believe that if we were to do away with the Capitalist system a lot of these problems with locking people up and throwing away the key would simply vanish into thin air. This drug war has got to end. We have to look at the root cause of why people do drugs and drink so much all the time. What drives people to drink?

Improving the conditions of society would require a revolution to take place first so we can start all over from scratch. We don’t stand a snowball chance in hell with the system we got making everyone miserable wanting to go out and shoot somebody or them selves. Say after we win the battle and have reached a point where everybody is well compensated and working once again but with human rights and equality for once, at least when somebody commits a crime there will be less crimes and we’ll be able to narrow it down a lot so that more crimes are committed for other reasons not so much drug related or money related crimes. What incentive is there to steal or kill for money if everybody were living in a vibrant, collective, fully voluntary society where cooperation and sharing with other people is just the norm? People won’t be so high strung all the time and more people with mental problems won’t be so high strung either. It will definitely take the weight off of their backs. What a sigh of relief it would be for them only if.

If we had universal healthcare and the ranks were stripped away from our rulers to level the plain field to make us all equal with nobody above and nobody bellow there would be less to complain about. You can’t say oh my neighbor, he’s got it made in shade and shit what do I got? Consensus agreements replacing the old fashioned unilateral management of labor will finally take the constant fear of losing ones job off their backs. There would be less need for police since less people are willing to commit crime to get by or get ahead and once everyone is fully accommodated and comfortable with their new way of living the police would narrow down to a level where they are almost non-existent. But so long as the system we have is in place these things can never happen and we live in the now where our systems police will prevent any attempt to bring about such a perfect society.

Any Insurrectionary Anarchist should already be stock piled on food, water, weapons, survival books, and camping gear if the shit hits the fan and you have to leave your home because chances are likely that that you are black listed for arrest under martial law and might not ever be seen again if they come kick down your door and take you away so where.

If Martial Law is declared you will have no choice but to go all guerilla warrior straight up ZAPATISTA style. General Tommy Franks said “The constitution of the United States will be replaced by Martial Law after the next terror attack” http://www.infowars.com/print/ps/franks_martial.htm

You know it's coming.

Don't be scured.

Who is asking for

Who is asking for solidarity?
Are they asking for global solidarity?

Less philosophical rubbish, and more details please?

yes they are asking for

yes they are asking for global solidarity, because solidarity knows no borders

This is a call to comrades

This is a call to comrades wherever they may be to start a wave of solidarity that sends shudders down the spine of the bastards in power. Let’s prove to them that the Athens syndrome is indeed a contagious disease.

June 12 - 15

'Nuff said.

No, that's not 'nuff

No, that's not 'nuff said.

If some unheard of anarchist fringe group without a name in another country asked for solidarity by saying something like:

"Let's show the world how big our testicles are!"

Would that be "'nuff said"?

Cause this is what I am seeing here.

If these particular greek anarchists really want global solidarity they would have to give out more details...otherwise solidarity will only come when we start hearing about them on the news.

Also, where are all the other solidarity call-outs from all the other anarchists in Greece?

Or do you want me to believe that whoever wrote this call-out up is the representative of all the anarchists of Greece?

Damn kids.

Don't be scared.

Don't be scared.

I don't really care who'S

I don't really care who'S calling out to anarchists to show solidarity. Whether it's some KID from Greece, London, Iceland, or the United States doesn't matter. Kids are the ones who take risks and call on people to do something and and actually do an action that can lend many of us adults in JAIL. Any move to squash calls for ANARCHIST solidarity should not be hailed as if it productive activism. Every call should be looked at and taken seriously and people should organize even if it's one person making a call. Kid's need to be supported for their bravery. To steal a phrase we grown men need to "show the world how big our testicles are!" in order to get other grown ass men to join in on the fun. By the time you reach about 22 your balls begin to shrink metaphorically of course. What did you think I was speaking literally. Lol! Don't take it out of context. I'm not gonna wait for something to happen when I can make something happen today. Any kid who makes a call to action I will support support or contribute to in some way. It might not work to get people to come out all the time but sometimes it works when you least expect like in the Oscar Grant scenario where a week went by and nobody did anything I was for certain that nothing would take place and then BOOOM smoke and flames and shatted glass in every direction with riot police and angry mobs some sig sagging wrecking havoc all over downtown. The riot, well that kind of took place on it's own when a cop car got abandon in the middle of an intersection and an angry mob smashed it up before being fired at with tear gas then the crowd dispersed into the downtown area to where the greatest amount of damage was done. Women with BALLS were in the crowd too as well. You too should jump on the revolutionary bandwagon. If you are comfortable, get up out your comfort zone and start helping people to organize not work against them. This shit ain't no fucken joke. You think anarchy is a hobby? If you're not serious then why go to any protests? Why call out to people to show support? It doesn't take much to be stay dedicated to a cause for what's right unless doing the right thing is hard for you. I'm sure the people of Greece are more than happy for those KIDS who seem to be the only ones who have the BALLS to get things done around here. Sorry to all you elitist anarchists who find my words to be politically incorrect using the word BALLs a lot but that's the language that people in the ghetto understand very well. It's just a word used among the youths to describe somebody who's more than brave enough to set something off.

BAAAAALLLLLLLS

*sigh* Fuck off.

*sigh*

Fuck off.

hahahahahaha You like that

hahahahahaha You like that
