As a first generation anarchist prodigy I was elated upon discovering that contemporary anarchists of all currents showed interest in my sex-android invention. When I first invented anarchist robots back in the early 00s after drafting the St. Paul Principles of Human Android Love Making (SPPHALM) I knew we were onto something. It’s nice to see the Anews primme nihilist ITS crowd paying homage to me and my invention finally. These are, like, the mutual aid ways our dojos can work together. Everybody knows this.

Another one of my most romantic moments in life was a dream where I punched out the window of a car that sped into a crosswalk at an intersection on Foster, almost killing a cyclist. The cyclist showered me with thanks and removed their human disguise to reveal the most sophisticated android chassis ever seen in this galaxy. We crunched numbers until morning.

I immediately woke and finished a giant essay on it which everybody knows even great sex can't hold a candle to.

There was a pretty cool podcast from the UK about 2 years about anarchist love/relationships/etc. Anyone remember the name?

It seems just like yesterday when one of the hottest anarchist romances stirred something primal in me. It was a morning like any other, I had just finished my coffee and was about to join the protest when, for some strange reason I had the urge to check anews. I quickly scanned through the recent comments only to gasp when reading through the highly erotic interaction between CyberDandy and lumpy. I immediately lowered the lights and called-in sick to spend the next many hours reloading and trembling in the ecstasy that culminated in one of the hottest cuddle requests ever. When I close my eyes I can still picture them together. My only wish is that these two appear together on the next episode of the CyberDandy Erotic YouTube Show.

the steamiest anarchist romance ive ever read about was years ago now in a zine a friend had. sweaty gay anarchist sugar beat harvest erotica.

Romance is a very bourgeois patriarchal relationship which is marketed excessively beyond its importance in Western cultural pastimes. Rather, all relationships, whether father/son, daughter/mother, neighbour/neighbour, mother/son, father/daughter,
grandparents/grandchildren, should all possess the gravity and intensity of what Western culture only reserves for a very minor relationship which usually results in overpopulation, date-rape, violence, dishonesty, monogamy, STDs, and emotional trauma.
We must re-evaluate our emotional geography to include those features and familiar topographies instead of focusing on extravagant, unneccesary and depressing ventures into shallow climactic ejaculations.

You left out how western romance usually includes a commitment to entering in a contract to purchase land/property, mortgages, lifetime work and debt, and enslavement to the system that markets romantic commitment.
I think the children of hetero relationships are inevitable, however instead of calling this "overpopulation", it would depend on accessability to birth control options, the population density and supply of food and resources in any given region.
Definitely cringe at the sentimental BS of walking down the beach holding hands and romantic dinners by candlelight in restaurants. So damn clichéd!

I love walking down the beach holding hands. (In an anarchist-y way, I swear.)

Oh yeah, you mean the "anarchesque" way of holding hands whilst walking down the beach, barefoot and with Novatore playing on your earphones.

Inb4 a bunch of incel, virgin, edgelords tell everyone about how romance is...... oh too late.

Well anyway, my best anarchist romance story went a little something like this:

The skyline was beautiful on fire
All twisted metal stretching upwards
Everything washed in a thin orange haze

I said, "Kiss me, you're beautiful..
These are truly the last days"

You grabbed my hand and we fell into it
Like a daydream or a fever

We woke up one morning and fell a little further down
For sure it's the valley of death

I open up my wallet
And it's full of blood

Godwin, ffs

i was around for bash back so lots of good sex and orgies, very romantic. is that still a thing or is anarchy just super judgy and identity obsessed now?

When I went into a saucy affair with a commie girl who kept changing bed partners and might well have been an undercover agent... Oh sorry you meant my BEST @ romance! Nevermind.

Was getting back to my usual sex club (now not used by me due to covid as it is indoors) 4 days after J20. Everyone there knew I had to have played a role in opposing Trump's Inauguration and some had seen rhe Veritas/Deploraball video. I was officially a fugitive but still made it in and out.

People acted like I had just made it back from the D-day landings in Normandy 1944! I wondered if I should leave immediately as I had been recognized, but then realized that everyone there hated Trump too. Also the night after the Women's March, which I had shot video of essentially proving I could get in right under MPD's nose, run a mission, and escape. Was as another club that night where they were holding one of their every other Sat night parties of that era.

Another contender was 3AM at a party there a few months later, fresh off protesting an outright Nazi. Met an unusually interesting guy there.

Not much in the way of conventional romance, but rather the closest analogue to it in my situation

Much representative of the tradition of keeping orgies hush-hush and super-private, you talk too much about what surrounded the sex club and not the sex club itself... :-(

Was that a gay-focused sex club, or a sex pref diverse club? If the latter this would be a revolution in itself, as sex pref diverse meat spaces are a level of difficulty way above the gay-focused spaces, and that's why you get gay parks in some cities, but the equivalent for all kinds of consensual sex. Gay seems to be having the advantage of being way more fluid and easygoing as an "underground" resort, even if nowadays hipsters have been into it as well, and the underground is main street.

Anyways! Would like to know more about it since I'm a perv.

I am Bi w mostly male partners, these sort of settings historically work well for me.

Two times I went to the bookfair and wrote "William Gillis" on my name tag and got so much ass and free books it was amazing. Highly recommended.

Romance is a deep curiosity that tugs at you like any other mystery (a mystery to you, not the world most romance seems obvious). Someone (or something) you don’t know or have known in a different setting suddenly entices you.

Of course, the western world’s influence has tainted romance for many of us. It’s ripe with the kind of violence we don’t like very much. But romance itself isn’t bankrupt, and romance isn’t always sexual.

My anarchist romances were never with any other anarchists but with what any of us would call "normies". They were mostly flings or one-off interactions that I didn't invest anything in, and in my own naivety I thought I'd found a nice, unattached relationship style that matched my edgy CrimethInc-soaked youthful abandonment. I was what you would call "lascivious" (and I still am, if I'm being honest) but the very little interrogation into relationship dynamics I'd done lead me to believe that it was the most anarchist thing I could be. All I was really doing was stunting my own growth and all that forced disaffection was really self-isolation and emotional deprivation, rather than an exploration of unbound love. I was just a loud-mouthed teenager and didn't actually know what I was talking about.

It wasn't until I had a long term relationship that I was made to examine what made my politics exactly mine, and if they were real. Being in a relationship with a normie who desired polyamory and to explore their own sexuality and relationship styles became an unexpected challenge and I didn't know why. I could recite chapter and verse of all the polyamory zines I'd read but I couldn't locate where my own discomfort was coming from. I could talk to my partner about it (sort of) but having to live it was entirely different. Outside dates were hard on the both of us and trying to exorcise my own jealousy with "why are you upset, you're an anarchist!" never did the trick. It took several months (and a unicorn) for the two of us to get comfortable with what our relationship became and with everyone who came around. I actually had to live the politics I thought were mine in order to know if they were real or not. As it turns out, they weren't. I had to make some adjustments, confess some sins and relocate myself. Eight years later I'm still adjusting.

I'm a solitary person now and dates come and go but I'm more aware of myself today and know the difference between what's lived and what's espoused. If there's any struggle in my life it's with the types of relationships I have with people, romantic or otherwise. The possession and coercion that live in the moments of my jealousy can more easily be doused but I'm working toward not feeling jealous at all. I do not desire to have any ownership or control over the people I date, with my few close friends, or the people I choose to call family, all of which I think are closely intertwined. I'm tethered to a long history of unhealthy unions and bonds that I wish to cleave myself from and that's proven to be a much more mentally/emotionally chaotic activity than any action or demo or riot that I've seen.

Januray 2nd 1922 (the same date the first number of the Swedish syndicalist paper Arbetaren (The Worker) came out) Emma Goldman, Alexander Berkman and Alexaner Schapiro came to Sweden and met Albert Jensen and Elise "Ottar" Ottesen-Jensen (this was also Ottar's 36th birthday. During the visit in Sweden Emma Goldman had sex with the 23 years younger Swedish anarchist Arthur Svensson.

is it too late for a Felon Time's Day pun? i mean, you gotta really mispronounce that to make it work. no? shit.

is "the tinder swindler" an example of an anarchist romance story?
