Fuck Colonialist Holidays

<table><tr><td> On Oct. 4th, at the corner of Burrard and Robson, a bunch of people flew a banner that read "Total Liberation: None Are Free Until All Are Free". They handed out leaflets (see bottom of article) addressing the colonial and genocidal roots of Thanksgiving, as well as the intersecting oppressions that are tied in to the mass murder of our turkey comrades at this time of year.

This action was prompted by a call-out for turkey leafletting made by PETA - People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. PETA asked that their activists "dress conservatively" and "stand up straight and hold signs prominently". Their blatant classism and conservatism wasn't surprising..

By the end of the event, PETA members were handing out the Black Pawprint's subversive literature, which was interesting considering PETA's awful analysis.

As a turkey, these people don't represent me.

BUT PETA DOES SO MANY GOOD THINGS FOR THE ANIMALS! I don't think the animals would appreciate you tearing down such committed and brave activists. Concepts like "total liberation" are to radical and will only scare away the mainstream and plus it take the focus off the real issue: the animals. I bet the people who wrote this article aren't even vegetarians.

PETA = People Eating Tasty Animals.

Quit eating fellow sentient beings! End specieism!

Turkey Comrades!! LOL, silly veagans
