Iconoclast Issue 34 - Callout for Submissions
From Iconoclast Media
Iconoclast is currently seeking article pitches for our upcoming Spring 2013 issue, in which we will confront, head on, the subject of gentrification and the commodification of urban space. We are very interested in first-hand accounts of anti-gentrification struggles, squats, occupations, and inspiring stories of resistance to the machinations of landlords and developers. We also would also love theoretical/analytical contributions dealing with the myriad of ways capitalism perpetuates itself in urban environments, and anarchist tactics and strategies for dealing with redevelopment, urban sprawl etc.
If you're interested in contributing, please send a short pitch to iconoclastmedia[at]riseup.net by February 08, 2013. The pitch should include a proposed subject, brief synopsis of the article and an approximate word count. Articles should be between 750-1000 words, or 1500-2000 words if possible, although exceptions can certainly be made. First drafts of the articles will be due on March 1, 2013.
