Anarchist who Fought in Rojava: Response to ‘No War But Class War’ Debate

From Abolition Media

I left Rojava nearly three years ago now and up until this point has chosen to remain quiet, leaving the writing to those who prefer to talk rather than act. I’ve looked on as the Ukrainians have gotten more support amongst the western anarchist milieu than the Kurds, Arabs, Assyrians, Yezidis and others could have ever imagined.

Week 3 Call-In for Eric King Begins

Call in!

from It's Going Down

Call-in campaign in support of anarchist prisoner Eric King continues.

As of this morning, Eric is still at USP Atlanta and en route to maximum security USP Lee in Virginia despite being threatened there by white supremacists. The Bureau of Prisons on every level is aware of this risk and is sticking to the “inmate must be returned to the parent institution’ narrative.

Eric King’s Trials

April 15, 2022: Eric King’s Trials

From WFHB Community Radio Kite Line, April 15, 2022

Eric King is an anarchist prisoner who was arrested in September 2014 after he carried out a solidarity action to support the Ferguson Uprising.  We speak again today with his lawyer, Lauren Regan, about the harsh violence and repression he has faced in prison, culminating in trumped-up charges of assaulting a guard, charges which he just defeated in court.  In further retaliation for his court victory, he is now being moved to a maximum-security facility with only two years left on his sentence. This week, Regan describes the recent incident of abuse King suffered at the hands of guards. She tells the story of the trial itself, highlighting the pattern of guards closing ranks in moments like this. Regan points to the broader picture of what motivates guards to lie, and what makes people often want to believe authority figures instead of their peers.

Money for anarchists, necklace for Lukashenko

"Alexander Lukashenko is the leader of a dictatorship that defends its existence by torturing and imprisoning the opposition. It is good not to forget this, which is why an unusual ‘necklace’ has been created for Lukashenko. It is only a drawn one, but perhaps one day someone will make him a real one."

from Lukáš Borl

Some time ago, a decision was made to raise funds for the anarchists being prosecuted in so-called Belarus. First there was a tattoo fundraiser and later a fundraising D.I.Y. book published under the title “Words Against Isolation or As Long As There Are Prisons, Let’s Write Letters.” So far, these activities have raised 700 euro. These funds will support five anarchists convicted for their willingness to resist the dictatorship. Namely these people: Nikola Dziadok (sentenced for 5 years), Sergei Romanov (sentenced for 20 years), Igor Olinevich (sentenced for 20 years), Dmitri Rezanovich (sentenced for 19 years) and Dmitri Dubovsky (sentenced for 18 years)

Strategies For Ecological Revolution From Below with Peter Gelderloos

Always a Problem, Always a Solution

From The Final Straw Radio

This week on The Final Straw, we’re featuring a recent conversation with anarchist author and activist, Peter Gelderloos about his latest book, “The Solutions Are Already Here: Strategies For Ecological Revolution From Below”, published by Pluto Press in 2022. For the hour we speak about critiques of science and Western Civilization that Peter levels, as well as the centrality of struggling on the ground we stand on, creating autonomous infrastructure, resisting colonial extractivism and the need for imagination and care as we tear down this ecocidal system.

“Don’t worry, we’re autonomous”. Winter shelter evicted

from squat.net

Around 30 people have been evicted from an autonomously organised shelter in North London. At 9am on Thursday 7th April agents of the National Eviction Team and notorious eviction magnate Andrew Marsh, smashed their way through barricades to enforce a High Court writ despite repeated attempts by the occupiers to enter into dialogue with the property’s owners, OneHousing, to negotiate a peaceful and orderly handover.

Wanted: Hosts for West Coast Book Tour
Black Blossoms At The End Of The World

One of the primary editors and writers for the anti-civilization journal of theory and action, Green Anarchy (RIP), is planning a Spring/Summer West Coast speaking/discussion tour based on the ideas presented in the newly released compilation of his more recent writings: Black Blossoms At The End Of The World (LBC Books). The prioritization for the events are, of course, anarchist spaces, but along with traveling companion Rivkah Charnovsky, Invecchiare Selvatico (aka Nazel Pickens, and a number of other RotN names) would also consider other “radical-leaning” social spaces, land projects, parks, wildlands, cafes, bars, or even better, fleecing university funds. Topics of discussion will cover critiques of: technology, the Left, Antifa, Primitivism, identity politics, progress, hope, ideology, morality, binary thinking, revolution, martyrdom, guilt, politics, the general failure of the anarchist space, and more, while offering our own unique anti-civilization perspectives on a more decentralized, autonomous, anti-tech, place-based reality where creativity, personal and shared desire, sustenance, and lived anarchy are prioritized over activism, politics, duty, and society… along with some situational spirituality, misanthropy, nihilism, and destruction sprinkled in for extra spice. The goal is to open up unique, nuanced, complicated, and interesting dialogue. Leftist need not apply… and we will defend ourselves.
