An extraordinary thing happened last month: US prosecutors admitted the government messed up.
Well, technically they admitted that a judge could conceivably decide that the government might have possibly messed up enough to warrant a new trial. But still.
As part of a unusual deal brokered between his defense team and chagrined US attorneys, Eric McDavid, who in 2007 was sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison on domestic terrorism charges, walked free on January 8 after the government told a judge it had "inadvertently" failed to hand over thousands of pages of FBI documents to his defense counsel in his original trial.
McDavid, 37, served three days short of nine years in custody before US District Judge Morrison England agreed to reduce his sentence to a lone count of conspiracy and released him on time served.

"I’ve been wearing the same pair of underwear since Tuesday. That night at three in the morning the warden at the super duper max, Jay “Lowdown” Forshay informed me that I was being transferred to Lucasville. Lucasville, home of the 1993 prisoner uprising, is a psychological September Eleventh for the Ohio prison system. It’s also the prison where ODRC officials attempted to put former prisoner writer Timothy “Little Rock” Reed in order to engineer his death until he gained asylum from Ohio in New Mexico, proving conclusively that Ohio prison officials attempted to murder him.
Jose Antúnez Becerra has been on hunger strike for 29 days and his health has declined considerably. He has lost around 20 kilos and his levels of sugar are much below average as well as his blood pressure. We call for a massive sending of faxes as a form of pressure so that a brief response is given to his legitimate demands and so he may end his hunger strike.

On February 14 there will be an event in the museo de la tolerancia [museum of tolerance] that aims to raise money for political prisoners and anarchists.
Being in prison we have little information about the event.
We don’t know who is organizing it, but we know our names appear on the list of prisoners for whom the event is done.
A recent letter from U.S. anarchist political prisoner Connor Stevens who was entrapped by the FBI under the farce called the 'war on terror' and is serving prison time as part of the 'Cleveland 4'. Give them some support.
"Visions, not blueprints: an open letter from an anarchist prisoner"
"We are an image from the future."

Ohio State Penitentiary administrators removed Sean Swain from population, according to a prisoner housed on Sean's security level. He is now held incommunicado, without phone or email access, and likely without writing materials. When prison officials last removed Sean from population at Mansfield Correctional, he was placed in a torture cell with no heat, no bed, no shower, forced to pace 24 hours a day to stay warm. He left there sleep-deprived and hallucinating. Less than 90 days later, two other prisoners died on Torture Cell Row.
