In defense of punching Bob Black and exiling snitchy bigots.

So as we all know Bob Black was punched at the Long Haul by MLF. We feel this is justified and that anti-oppressive anarchist ethics should be upheld in so called anarchist spaces. That means no bigots or snitches should be invited to speak or be published by "Anarchists". Here are some racist/snitch/sexist quotes from Bob Black that led to him being punched:

Anarchism As Spectacle

From Destroy Everything

The “anarchist scene” is currently in an uproar. If people aren’t upset about Michael Schmidt’s racist remarks and possible “infiltration”, they are gossiping about the recent feud between Aragorn and Bob Black. Anarchism has, in the span of a few weeks, been reduced to the petty gossip of tabloids. Those at the head of these events are doing nothing but spectacularizing the events. In the Michael Schmidt case, AK Press decided to prematurely announce things, then wait until they could secure a more mainstream outlet to publish on. In the other case, we have seen a barrage of social media, along with a eulogy for Mr. Black, in a written/semi-physical war which could just continue ad nauseum. Why do we care about these things, of which the majority of us have no direct involvement? Why has reality entertainment reared its ugly head in anarchism?

From Aragorn! Blog

For those of you that haven't heard I threw an event with Bob Black at our local infoshop on August 7th 2015. At this event local activist Morgan Le Fay came to protest Bob for the 1995 Hogshire affair and ended up punching him a few times (3) in the face. A month later Bob announced on Facebook that I was both a traitor and enemy. He proceeded to blow my pseudonym (incorrectly) as an act of vengeance.

Now that the dogs have recovered from the pyrotechnic celebration of Colonization, Neoliberalism, and Nationalism we are ready to announce our Summer titles for 2015. This summer features one homage, some mischievousness, and some new titles on old themes.

Spring was eventful this year. Alongside the solid Bay Area bookfair and our sister project the BASTARD conference, were Montreal, NYC, and the brand new (and energetic and affirming) Orange County bookfair. We can't wait to see what they do next year.
