That’s why we decided to reach out to anarchists in Belarus to learn about the current wave of protests confronting the regime of Lukashenka. We did it by contacting the Anarchist Black Cross Belarus, but this interview represents the opinion of a single anarchist in Minsk and doesn’t reflects the position of any particular organisation or group.

We take responsibility for the attack on Zavodskoy District Court in Minsk, which we see as an occupying part of the government. We declare that, if mass repressions and forceful breaking up of demonstrations continues, our group will do everything we can so that not all of those helmed bastards with batons will live to see the trial. That's not a threat, that's a fact! We – among you, we know your addresses and positions, we have your photos. Stop now or the end of you will be dreadful and inglorious!

Anarchist Mikita Yemelyanau Sentenced to 7 Years Imprisonment

12.02.2020: On Wednesday, Belarusian anarchists Mikita Yemelyanau and Ivan Komar have been sentenced to seven years in prison each.

The trial kicked off on February, 6 in Savetski district court of Minsk. On February 11, public prosecutor Ihar Seneu asked the court to sentence them to seven years of imprisonment in a medium security penal colony. Today, when delivering the verdict, judge Alyaksandr Yakunchykhin has taken heed of the position of the persecution.

From Revolutionary Action (Grodno, Minsk, Brest)

Belarusian anarchists continue street campaigning against the newly introduced “deferral” law, which drives even more young people into draft slavery. In Minsk, Grodno, Brest, leaflets were distributed about the new law and methods to fight back. On one of the military registration and enlistment offices in Brest, the banner “Deputies to the army, students to study” was hung.

Anarchist Dmitry Palienko detained in Minsk

Former political prisoner and anarchist Dmitry Palienko was detained at March, 20th around 10 AM at his apartments in Minsk. He is accused in committing crime at article 339 p. of the criminal code (“Exclusively malicious hooliganism”). The sanction of the article – from 3 to 10 years of prison.
