A few words about Druck! Press Collective

Druck! Press Collective was formed in 2013 and in July 2014 the machinery was installed in Terra Incognita squat, formally beginning the collective’s operation. The last 7 years, until the eviction of the squat on August 17th, 2020, Druck! Press Collective operated against commercial relations and clientelism, aiming to promote the words and actions of the radical movement, hoping to bridge the gap between the need for printed expression and the political -as well as financial- obstacles that emerge when this need is not fulfilled within the movement itself.

The Solutions are Already Here with Peter Gelderloos

From The Poor Prole's Almanac

Peter Gelderloos joins us again to discuss his recent book "The Solutions are Already Here: Strategies for Ecological Revolution from Below". The conversation is framed around ecological collapse, the complexity of tackling these issues, and detangling climate change from the conversations around the carbon footprint. How does capitalism utilize climate change to continue its path to exploit the resources on the planet through tools like the green new deal, and how do we respond to this greenwashing?

Wanted: Hosts for West Coast Book Tour
Black Blossoms At The End Of The World

One of the primary editors and writers for the anti-civilization journal of theory and action, Green Anarchy (RIP), is planning a Spring/Summer West Coast speaking/discussion tour based on the ideas presented in the newly released compilation of his more recent writings: Black Blossoms At The End Of The World (LBC Books). The prioritization for the events are, of course, anarchist spaces, but along with traveling companion Rivkah Charnovsky, Invecchiare Selvatico (aka Nazel Pickens, and a number of other RotN names) would also consider other “radical-leaning” social spaces, land projects, parks, wildlands, cafes, bars, or even better, fleecing university funds. Topics of discussion will cover critiques of: technology, the Left, Antifa, Primitivism, identity politics, progress, hope, ideology, morality, binary thinking, revolution, martyrdom, guilt, politics, the general failure of the anarchist space, and more, while offering our own unique anti-civilization perspectives on a more decentralized, autonomous, anti-tech, place-based reality where creativity, personal and shared desire, sustenance, and lived anarchy are prioritized over activism, politics, duty, and society… along with some situational spirituality, misanthropy, nihilism, and destruction sprinkled in for extra spice. The goal is to open up unique, nuanced, complicated, and interesting dialogue. Leftist need not apply… and we will defend ourselves.

The Dark Century of Elsa Morante and Elena Ferrante

Our ideas are brilliant. We will wear no masks when we tear your creations asunder. They stand in our way. They stand in the way of the brilliant!

From The Transmetropolitian Review

This is an in-depth essay about the works of Elsa Morante and Elena Ferrante, specifically La Storia and The Neapolitan Quartet. Between these five novels, the entire twentieth century is stripped bare, revealing a horrible darkness we are still barely emerging from. While reading any further might lead to some spoilers, these books are too rich to taint with my basic overview, which will dwell on the anarchism, history, celebrity, and anonymity of these Italian authors, one who is far better known than the other. Just like Elsa Morante, I write these words for those who can’t read, the illiterate.
