Coming Out of Isolation Stronger

From seanswain.org

The latest concern that folks are expressing during this zombie apocalypse is their inability to cope with isolation and quarantine. We’re just a few weeks into this thing and already folks are going a little bonkers. This is strange to me, given that I’ve spent years at a time in total and complete isolation. It’s almost hard for me to fathom that someone wouldn’t know how to cope in such an environment

“Encouranging Others to Riot” by poem… the haps at FCI Englewood

From supportericking.org

While the BOP is upgrading their website and pretending they have some sort of plan to keep folks alive during this pandemic. FCI Englewood is again up to no good.

We can assume in a retaliatory (previously predicted) move inspired by either a) the court filings regarding the ongoing and constant abuse the BOP is continuing to serve Eric via FCI Englewood or b) the article that was published that exposes some pretty gross fash BOP/Guard Eric has been given two separate severe disciplinary infractions.

To the Rebels and the Dead of Modena Prison

Not only are the prisoners’ demands minimized, but their eminently political character is erased: what happened is not caused only by despair. No, the fact that the protests leaped from one prison to another makes it clear that only those whose freedom is taken away have yet managed a collective response to the restrictions imposed by the state for the coronavirus.

Jason also speaks about the whims of the the Ohio Parole Board, some corroborated in public statements by former OPB member, Shirley Smith (linked in the show notes, and mentioning the situation of Marc Houc for instance).

From AMW

Forty Years of Incarceration Let's Tell the World About Anarchist Political Prisoner Bill

This October 14th marks 40 years that Bill Dunne has been locked up. It was on that day in 1979 that he and two other comrades of his were arrested outside of the King county jail in downtown Seattle during an escape. Bill was sentenced to 90 years for aiding in that escape and since then he has seen some of the harshest prisons in the Washington state prison system as well as the federal system. In 1982 he was sent from the Washington state system to the federal system and landed in the United States Penitentiary (U.S.P) in Lewisburg, PA. The following year he tried to escape from that particular U.S.P and for that he was given an additional 15 years onto his sentence and 7 and a half were to be spent in the control units at U.S.P Marion, IL. After he did his time at U.S.P Marion and up until recently he has been in quite a few maximum security penitentiaries in the federal prison system.

An excavator was burned out completely, the other four excavators and a front end loader were damaged by our fire and made partially unusable. We would like to dedicate this action especially to Loic, the Park Bench 3 and the Basel 18. They are missing from our side.

From Anarchists Worldwide, Berlin, Germany:

Received and translated on 22.08.19:

Nothing is forgotten.

Even two years later, we have not forgotten the days and nights of the G20 summit in Hamburg; the euphoria on the faces of those in revolt, the headlines about the nightly attacks in the lead up, the noticeable nervousness of the law enforcement officers. We remember the beginning of the campaigns focusing on the G20 and the desire to continue our mutual reference through targeted attacks beyond that short time frame.

Every Death is a Murder – Prisoners Justice Day, Hamilton

From North Shore Counter-Info

On the evening of Prisoners Justice Day, August 10th 2019, a small group of prison hating folks gathered in Hamilton, Ontario at Beasley park for a noise demo. HPS (Hamilton Police Sevices) observed the rally with excessive numbers including bike cops, a cop van, a supervisor suv and two cruisers. As our numbers grew we gathered to listen to a small introduction by the Barton Prisoner Solidarity Project explaining how PJD started and why it continues. The BPSP is a newly developed organization that seeks to thin the prison walls by building connections and magnifying the voices of those inside, while simultaneously working to smash those walls altogether by asking bigger questions about what a world without prisons would look like and figuring out how to get there.
