Against Sectarianism

from Contra Info via AMW

In short, anarchy for us is an ethics and a permanent practice against authority, a practice in which we have met with others (not necessarily “anarchists”), enriching and enhancing our visions and capabilities, as well as forging close relationships of complicity, strengthened in the course of years and confrontation. To designate that these relationships can only be established with those who are called “anarchists,” apart from being a fallacy that can only be believed by those who have not ventured to travel the paths of the conflict and spend their time in front of the computer, is something that we reject from the moment when we prioritize establishing links over repeating empty slogans until you get enough.

NYC Anarchist Film Festival Seeking Content, Deadline Extended 1 Month

The NYC Anarchist Film Festival is now being held Oct. 2, and so the deadline for contributions has been moved to Sept. 1.

The NYC Anarchist Film Festival is seeking contributions celebrating the irrepressible spirits of solidarity and resistance amid a world in crisis. Now in its 15th year, the AFF has showcased stories of people across the globe who fight for a better future against exploitation, oppression, and terror. While we will consider all entries, this year we are especially interested in films about the pandemic and its toll, the movement for racial justice, rising authoritarianism, and historical struggles that give context to present ones.

I am thirsty!

from Asranarshism

THE PEOPLE WANT TO OVERTHROW THIS SYSTEM!

This is a peaceful demonstration; why are you shooting at us? No one has taken the water away from you; no one has taken the land away from you! Why are you shooting at us? We say that peaceful protests are part of our rights. Water and land belong to our rights. To live is our right! We say we want freedom, but they (the regime) shoot at us!

Prometeo Operation: Update

from Malacoda

Prometeo Operation: updates on Natascia from Rebibbia prison (Italy, July 2021)

Natascia is well and her mood is high, especially since she knows that Anna [anarchist comrade sentenced to 16 years and 6 months in the Scripta Manent trial against the Federazione Anarchica Informale, “Informal Anarchist Federation”] has also arrived and received her greetings, even though Natascia is in a solitary confinement cell far away from the one she is in, which makes it impossible for her to hear directly from Anna. It seems that her transfer to Rebibbia prison in Rome is a permanent relocation, which she does not mind at all: in fact, she said she does not want to ask for other transfers and wants to stay there.

Responsibility Claimed by ALF

from Athens Indymedia

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY BY ALF ANIMAL LIBERATION FRONT (CENTRAL GREECE)

On July 15, while mountain climbing in Mavrorachi vilage of Pilion we discovered two dogs chained to two trees. As soon as they saw us they started to bark as if they were calling us to come to them. Seeing their strong need and desire for liberation, we decided to intervene and lead them to freedom. As we said, the two creatures were tied with chains about one metre long to two trees, which greatly restricted their movements.
