OK. A tool for whom though?
AI wasn't invented when capitalism went hunting for a “neutral” technology to misuse for evil. Capital develops and deploys destructive technologies according to capital's own needs: extraction, commodification, surveillance, control, and making everyone more economically useful and subservient to the ruling class.

Johann Sainéa Rubio has been imprisoned in Colombia since 2021, criminalized for participating in the popular uprising of that year. Since the far-right Abelardo de la Espriella government took control of the Colombian state, his situation — which was already very bad — has gotten even worse. The Colombian state is restricting food supplies, inflicting severe hunger and thirst in an attempt to undermine the health of Johann and others imprisoned across the country after fighting for dignity and freedom.

Topic of the Week - I personally don't take explicit participation in totw threads as a sign of either success or failure. There have been too many thoughtful and provocative topics raised over the years--topics that got little to no engagement--and by too many people, to think that explicit, written responses are the best, much less only, measure of success. That's not even talking about other writings, like thread posts here and on other forums like antipolitics.net (long may it linger), etc.
