I have to be careful here. Very, very careful.

I go up for my next parole hearing in September. I will be appearing for the fifth time. I’ll have 35 years in on a 20 to Life sentence, and if my name were *not* Sean Swain, the Ohio prison system would have long ago adopted me as their poster child — 3 published books, 11 years of radio commentary, art on exhibition in Sweden, thousands of hours of community service, no drugs or alcohol, no violence.

We don’t need to say much about the banks. They are the main pillar of the murderous system, capitalism. On May 11, some anarchist comrades expropriated the bank in Kato Tithorea. They preferred dignity to wage slavery.

On March 30th 2026 the historic Woodwards building’s Nestor’s grocery store was the target of an arson attack which engulfed the isles of the store and resulted in $400,000 in damage. Victor Leslie Atkinson was later tracked down to a Gastown residence and charged with the action, he has yet to appear in court. We do not need to know the politics of this individual in order to understand the context in which this action occurred.

I was recently speaking with a comrade who is one of the individuals wrapped up on charges in London, Ontario. They’re alleged to have played a role in shutting down a weapons defense conference that involved private and state actors, and a number of manufacturing companies designing or building the tech currently being used by Israel against Palestinians and those in Lebanon – but also for policing and defense operations within and for so-called canada.

Sixteen years later, the greek state is once again bringing the Marfin bank case to the forefront of media and repressive attention. The ‘New Democracy’ party (the ruling party) is attempting once again to criminalise the massive and highly confrontational protest that took place at 5 May of 2010 against the austerity measures designed to shift the burden of the economic crisis to the oppressed. During this protest three workers who despite the general strike where forced to be at their workplace lost their lives. The trial has already concluded, resulting in the conviction of the bank's CEO, the head of security and the branch manager. Yet, despite this there have been repeated attempts to frame comrades dragging them through sham trials where the state's lies have been totally dismantled.
