Statement on the ban from the Anarchist Book Fair Amsterdam 2025 by OVS

From forumvooranarchisme

Initially, we had no intention of making a statement or writing about the circumstances surrounding the ban of our new organisation Organisatie v. Vrij Socialisme (OVS) from Anarchist Book Fair Amsterdam 2025. However, as people approached us for more information, we decided it would be helpful to offer some clarification for other anarchists close to us and to prevent misunderstanding.

TOTW: Wither Theory?

Topic of the Week - In my local anarchist scene, anarchist theory and tendencies aren’t often discussed. There’s the obvious anarchist positions against capitalism, Marxism, and bigotries. But beyond that? Not much to say about theory of change, discussing the varieties of anarchist ideas, or even discussing the “big names” of anarchy: Bakunin, Kropotkin, Malatesta, Goldman, Bookchin, Aragorn!, or Zerzan. In fact, after a recent meeting, it was suggested to avoid centering particular anarchist beliefs, ie, anything beyond “capitalism, fascism, stalinism, and bigotry are bad.” This is because a statement such as “Fuck [person or idea]” may be interpreted by new folks as fact and not opinion. This is no shade on my people, I appreciate them deeply and some private context at least makes it somewhat understandable.

A Call for International Solidarity with Alfredo Cospito

From Abolition Media

A CALL FOR INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY: NO COMRADE WILL BE LEFT ALONE IN THE HANDS OF REPRESSION!

Alfredo Cospito is an anarchist comrade jailed since 2012, initially arrested and sentenced (along with another comrade) for kneecapping the CEO of Ansaldo Nucleare. He has served his sentence for that crime (the other comrade is now free), but he is currently serving a 23-year sentence issued in the “Scripta Manent” trial. This was a repressive operation against 20 years of FAI/FRI actions. Comrade Anna Beniamino is also serving a 17-year sentence for this repressive operation.

The Liberal Capture of Anarchism

From The Polar Bl@st - Anarchist Class War News & Views for Aotearoa

For the past few years, a peculiar current has swept through parts of the anarchist milieu, particularly those corners closest to academia, the NGO apparatus, and the broad “social justice” ecosystems of the liberal left. It goes something like this: “we don’t live in revolutionary times”. The line is always delivered with a kind of weary resignation, as if the speaker has grown too sophisticated, too worldly, too traumatised or too professional to still believe in any of the old principles.

Interview with anarcho-syndicalists from Russia on mobilization and repression

From ANTIMILITARISTICKÁ INICIATIVA [ AMI ]

Recently, our website published notes on mobilization in Russia, written by an anarchist from Russia. We continue to explore this topic through an interview with anarcho-syndicalists working in Russia. This interview provides further evidence that service in Putin’s army is often enforced and that expressions of resistance are brutally suppressed.

Greek Anarchist Assembly Text, Before Sectarian Attack

From Abolition Media

In the morning hours of November 15 in Athens, Greece, comrades from the Open Assembly of Anarchists for the 17th of November, 2025, were violently attacked by roughly 150 members of the left-populist ARAS group while preparing the anarchist bloc for that day’s march. ARAS functions as a social-democratic counter-insurgent reserve—frequently, though inaccurately, described as “Maoist,” a mislabeling that persists due to persistent misunderstanding. Even though the attack and the wider situation have already been covered in international anarchist media like Freedom News and Anarchist News, the assembly’s own call is nowhere to be found in English. That’s striking, since the text lays out a clear and sharp analysis of the current moment and the tasks facing anarchist and communist militants in the country. The translation that follows seeks to address this gap and make the assembly’s position accessible to an international readership.

Responsibility claim for attack on 2 Jumbo stores chains in Athens

From Act for Freedom Now! - Athens, Greece

Original title: "Responsibility claim for attack 2 Jumbo stores chains in Athens dedicated in the memory of our comrade Kyriakos Xymitiris"

On October 31, 2024, in a split second, the armed anarchist fighter Kyriakos Xymitiris was killed while handling explosives in an apartment on Arkadias Street in Ampelokipi. In this moment of resistance and consistency, his life’s thread will be forever linked to the historical thread of urban guerrilla warfare, thus continuing the struggle of those who chose to devote themselves entirely to the revolutionary cause.
