TotW: Setting the Scene: how do *you* do it?

Listening to a recent andrewism entry on the futility of policing language brought me, in my normal contrarian way, to a counter argument. Let me be clear, there is no counter argument that most policing (of any kind) is almost if not entirely about performing and purity, attempting to position the policer as the more knowledgeable, more connected, better person. But changing our own language can encourage us to think differently, especially if we don't turn it into something to attack other people with.

Třídní válka / Class War archives and wordpress

Following the latest dirty trick by the Mullahs of Washington, many comrades (anarchists, communists, internationalists…) must rebuild their networks and blogs. The criminalization of the Autistici/Inventati collective is not a specific act of a supposed “techno-fascism,” as some claim, but rather, much more prosaically, the work of capitalism and its democracy!

Of Kropotkin & Lichen: Anarchy in Nature

From Fifth Estate # 418, Summer 2026 by Stephen Duplantier

Russian revolutionary and geographer Peter Kropotkin was a pioneer in understanding how forests and steppes were a living archive of anarchist practice. Every bioregional regime has its own variations, but the commonalities shine through. His major stance was that species practicing mutual aid survive and attain their “highest development.” He saw the forest’s mingled life, stories of plants being successful by cooperation, and not as a result of Social Darwinist struggles and endless war. There are struggles, but these are against circumstances and not internecine. Cooperation, not warfare, is a natural law, and understanding nature’s patterns is a way to know and practice more.
