E. Armand, “Plan for an Anarchist Individualist International” (1927)

https://www.libertarian-labyrinth.org/working-translations/e-armand-plan...

I have to say it holds up pretty well for a 92 year old document. I would change some things but this would certainly be a good start for a re-baselined 21st century anarchism. I like the fist sentence exclusions(particularly the syndicalists:)). Today that list would extend to ancommies and decolonizers(along with the other orthodox 1968 talking points and positions).

Individualism needs to be the new baseline for anarchism with an default agnosticism towards questions of exchange and organization. The anarch-egoist-anarchy that I advocate would of course the extra marginal nicheier option. Armand basically represents a sort of structural post-left position which at this point is the 21st century minimum going forward for any good continuing anarchism.

Totally agree, there has to

Totally agree, there has to be a benchmark regarding the psychological perceptions and values held by the individual to pass on into the more exclùsive realm of " individualist " or Stirnerian.
You can probably guess who I am, I am commenting incognito now on this site due to robo-esque deletions of my comments. ;)

i’m uncomfortable with the vocation for pedagogy, a reliance on initiation and indoctrination, in a kind of cultish or secret society way, that was popular back then.

i rather prefer the salon type vibe you two were going on about that one time, and that’s compatible with this, in part. it also shares sensibilities with the “distinctively dyonisian” project, which seems cool.

it would be more appealing if the proposal was something already in action, instead of a recipe or decree, and if it wasn’t proposed by creepy dudes

I won't discuss moral terms

I won't discuss moral terms like "creepy", such judgements have no place in The Individualist Salon, where aesthetic perceptions and insights give depth and a multi-faceted form of representation to ideas and politics.

I agree 15:18

Like I said there are certainly things I would change and that's one of them. Anarchism and anarchy need to develop an ANTI-education based discourse not an education centered one. Even the classical individualists made this mistake. Anarchy should not be initiation driven by any means as many emergent Leviathan structures tend to be born that way.

I agree with the salonic model as well as what DD is doing(big fan). For me this writing something to look back and reflect on not prescribe by any means.

I like the ideas here. I've been trying to associate with individualist anarchists in my area and the closest I've gotten is the Libertarian Party.

Regarding the LP? I'm not taking it that seriously, I'm just trying to use it like a social club. So far my friends aren't so interested in this stuff so I thought maybe I can meet some interesting people there.

It's so sad that nearly 100 years later, the 100 years ago anarcho-left crowd still is working tirelessly to scapegoat individualism as a capitalist construct, while they themselves are the biggest capitalists in the milieu. Some people just don't wanna learn anything. They read Chomsky and/or Tiqqun and are convinced to have found everything their brains need.

Dated as Armand is

He still runs circles around that leftist communist trash that you mentioned. Anarchism is primed for individualism not communism(a silly construct based on medieval reified Xian collectivity).

so Armand is running around

so Armand is running around as a zombie after having dated a lot?
