a correction: the reading of the Plain Words piece is attributed wrongly to minneapolis. this project is from bloomington.

the first song featured is however from minneapolis. thanks for playing the mighty Uranium Club (in general the music choices are solid & clever).

for their terrible (nonexistent) sense of u.s. geography

some of the points in the TOTW discussion are for a lack of a better world 'commonsense' but i think need to be continually returned to, considering some of the ways that anarchism is being somewhat visibly homogenized and popularized.

Where is the anarchy is this podcast? It's just a news podcast with a chat. Sometimes, the editorial discusses aspects of anarchy. I'm not trolling. I listen regularly, however, the content appears to be lacking anarchist perspectives, does anyone else agree? For example, Aragorn! goes to work, pays his taxes, plays by their rules, jumps through their hopes etc. His life is as typical as most people. As maybe others do in the podcast. Where is the anarchy? Is it in reading out 'actions' others have done, for example, to commercial property? Is reading now anarchy? Sure, news items are read out about people and events which don't make mainstream news or even local news which still doesn't make it anarchist, does it? Is it discussing TOTW, how is that anarchy? Here, I will be deliberately blunt: what is anarchist about this podcast? It's just another 'alternative' news podcast, arguably?

It does what it claims to do
