Message from Thanos Hatziangelou for solidarity event

From Abolition Media

Original title: Message from Captured Member of Anarchist Action Thanos Hatziangelou for the DHKP-C Solidarity Event

Comrades,

This message travels through the walls of captivity to warm every unyielding heart that insists on the right of resistance. Above all, I could not fail to mention four wonderful people, who on the surface seem to be missing, but by their example have made sure that they stand forever among us, reaching out to each one of us individually for the collective passage towards the Revolution.

There are no words to capture the political richness of the humanity of the comrades Harika Kizilkaya, Burak Agarmis and Erdogan Cakir, Ozkan Guzel who fell fighting on October 30 at the Greek-Turkish border. Only our actions and the responsibility that governs them will justify the incalculable cost of the loss of four revolutionaries who fought to the end, with guns in their hands. As in life, so in death, they made sure that they accompanied us with their warm smiles and unwavering gaze towards the revolution. Comrades Harika Kizilkaya, Burak Agarmis, Erdogan Cakir, Ozkan Guzel will not be forgotten because they are the alter ego of each of us in the common stride towards total liberation and revolution.

Today, Greek bourgeois law is cashing in its services to the Turkish imperialist dictatorship, by putting the fighting comrades of the Popular Front back in the firing line. Those who were not murdered by the death covenants of Turkish fascism must be recaptured in the hellholes of Greek democracy. The diplomatic credentials of the Mitsotakis government to the fascist Erdogan are institutionalized from the bowels of the imperialist body to serve the right that slaughters peoples and leaves behind scorched earth and human ashes.

Real Justice, which serves the virtue of universal equality and effortless liberation, does not reside in the temples of bourgeois legality and the benches of fascism. Real Justice is the constant confrontation of Humanity with the filth of the crimes committed by the officials of tyranny. A fair trial was that of the American official Dan Mitrione who was interrogated and convicted by the Tupamaros armed councils for his participation in the local police torture training seminars in Uruguay. A fair trial was the interrogation of the Italian director of SIT-Siemens, Idalgo Macchiarini, for his role in the class restructuring and the conditions of exploitation of the Italian proletariat, a trial that took place, like so many others, in the prison of the people by the armed cells of the Red Brigades. What our history calls a fair trial is the sum total of the moments when the oppressors of misery and proletarian death were held accountable with a gunshot that echoed through the clatter of the angry cries of those who were abused, tortured and murdered in the interests of the bourgeoisie and its lackeys. Deafening cries that put an end to the silence of submission and tolerance, putting the battle in the first person. There history itself spoke. Thus the Revolution spoke.

Today, in times of disloyalty and retreat, resistance to fascism and imperialism is a duty. It is an instinct of life, of political and moral vitality. The anti-imperialist struggle expressed through the ranks of the fighting comrades of the Popular Front is a universal human cause. It is built by revolutionary actions and solidarity relations, crushing the empty words of the capitulators and the subjugated. Neither their bullets nor their prisons will separate us. On the road to the Revolution, we will advance together, and no one can take that away from us.

There is no perspective without solidarity

There is no Justice without Revolution

Our shared history continues…

If he says he's an anarchist, he must be, right?? This is some wild marxist-leninist drivel. He wrote this message to uncritically support a DHKP-C event. Maybe the funds went to yesterdays failed storming of the court in Istanbul, where they killed a bystander? Maybe they were hoping to take over the court for a people's tribunal, like their heroes in the red brigades and tupamaros? Eek. Maybe keep this stuff on the shady abolition media site and not here?

if concern-trolling about violence was enough to discount the cause of a group of people, then guess what people's opinions on anarchists should be.. u.u

From what I understand, Thanos became close friends with the Turkisn comrades when they were in prison, so good on him for paying tribute to his fallen comrades!

Well, let’s just hope his new friends are never in a position to put his anarchist friends through one of their dream peoples’ tribunals.
