Spontaneity, Mediation, Rupture by Endnotes

https://endnotes.org.uk/issues/3/en/endnotes-spontaneity-mediation-rupture

While I wholeheartedly agree with the concept of revolutionary spontaneity, I am little bit skeptical of Endnotes concept of Mediation. It seems like, in so far that mediation does occur, it ought to arise out of whatever natural social reconfiguration there is that occurs. I'm not necessarily suggesting that the text does suggest this, but, I do think that it can be interpreted as having professional revolutionaries serve as mediators during the revolution. While I don't think that this is indicative of the dread Leninism, I do think that such an interpretation could mean for the creation of a new social class. Such a class may be preferable to what exists now, but, is not what is sought after by a revolution "from below".

Perhaps, they could mean that

Perhaps, they could mean that Mediation is an act that people will undertake that is ephermeral. People could learn the process of mediation through a revolutionary transformation or something. I wouldn't put too much past Endnotes, but, I wouldn't stick too much to them either.

Mediation = Eternal

Mediation = Eternal Thermidorian Events :(

Do you think that about the

Do you think that about the concept itself, in regards to how their concept can be interpreted, or, in regards to what they are suggesting?

I think that the concept just describes a way of taking agency over historical events and can be interpreted positively. This seems like it ought to be something that everyone learns how to do, but, I do think that that text can be interpreted as suggesting that there should be a class of mediators given a spontaneous revolutionary situation.

Within hierarchical

Within hierarchical militarist power systems, mediation translates as rearranging the balances of power. I view politics itseĺf as an eternal micro-revolution and counter micro-revolution with the occasional super rev occuring after some type of natural calamity or human invasion acts as a trigger or tips over a precarious situation. The French was basically famine/hunger, Russian likewise. Let's face it, Western civilization works with a continuous economic precarity built into its framework. It requires the masse to be in continuous need and dependency on the State. Having revs is not going to solve the underlying human condition of being submissive, this is a psychological problem.
PS How do I log off @news, there doesn't seem to be a logging of link?

I think that what they mean

I think that what they mean by the concept is that the mediating process would abolish social power relations somehow. In that sense, I think that it can be interpreted positively.

I do agree that the community of people who read books published by semiotext(e) will not necessarily bring about the end goals of Communism. They're alright, all in all, but, as you would expect, a bit snobbish. If that is what they are suggesting, then, I think that the assumption that academics will need to conciliate a revolution is kind of patronizing. I don't necessarily think that that is what they are suggesting, though. I just think that that text can be interpreted in such a manner.

Oh, I've just been logging off by deleting my cookies and whathaveyou via my browsing History. They sent me an e-mail that says that it's in the upper right hand corned of the screen, but, I don't see anything. Maybe they just want for us to stay here forever?

The irony is that the

The irony is that the powerful are voted into the parliament/congress which mediates over power distribution. There's a feedback flaw in the democratic process most Statists deny or avoid, like propaganda advertising and brainwashing and precarity biased choice.
Thanks for the log-out info, nothin in my upper right screen, History maybe.
I could think of worse forums to be stuck in forever with, like on a Kadashian chat forum ;)

Do you see the feedback flaw

Do you see the feedback flaw as problematic for the concept of democracy in general or just in so far as it relates to the Liberal democratic project? I don't think that there is anything wrong with the concept of democracy. I am in favor of some form of participatory democracy. I just think that because the Liberal democratic project utilizes representative democracy that that allows for the abuse of the democratic project by parties who are, by in large, insincere.

Also, holding up here is pretty alright with me. This place could use more activity, though.

Insincerity is a sure thing,

Insincerity is a sure thing, anyone with an iota of critical character analysis would know that politicians, power, and the democratic process is gonna fail in the end. One would have better results with an AI for the infrastructural and economic equations, which is 80% of policy in a complex industrial culture. I think an AI would do a better job on humanitarian policy and process management, I go with Gillie on some things. Power, ego, and hierarchy are the 3 outstanding flaws in democratic processes. One has to become a monster to defeat the monster. Certainly decentralized cĺanish or groups of like minded and intimate friends can form representative colo ies in creative sanctuaries and leave the philistines to wallow in their crass toxicity.

I didn't say I approve of AI,

I didn't say I approve of AI, only that compared to the democratic politician run system, it would do a better job. An electric sheep would be SUPERIOR TO Obama or Trump anyway haw haw haw!!
NO I CAN SEE THE RUPTURE OF ALL DEMOCRACRATIC SHEEPDOMS

Idk about leaving decisions

Idk about leaving decisions up to AI, but, I see your point. I like the idea of just leaving the rest to the rest, but, I wonder if isolated communities can sustain themselves without the rest of the world. I think that the stasis of the democratic project is that it is partially in crisis, but, I don't think that it will necessarily end in any near future. I think that without some sort of broad social reconfiguration which only could happen that things'll just kind of continue on like that until the end of time.

hmm, by management, i didn’t

hmm, by management, i didn’t meant it so broadly, but as in managerial profession, as in businesses or in government, etc.

some people have no influence in policy, or in this or that administration, yet like to delve in the topic of how to do just that, as a hobby. i meant to say that that is not one of my areas of interest.

i buy food at stores, and cook in a stove.

Excuse my little foray into

Excuse my little foray into abusive tirade mode for an irritating commenter, I suspect a former impersonator of me who has problems haha.
Umm daydreamdays, havè you by any chance read this very obscure thinker called Max Stirner? He has some interesting ideas about autonomy and self-management which are superior to the State models.

daydreamdays
I've read The Ego and Its Own

I've read The Ego and Its Own. I find Stirner to be frustrating because he makes it impossible for me to strategically define "Anarchism" as being "libertarian Socailism". Doing so would be an unjust maneuver anyways and so I shouldn't really have it out for Stirner like I do. I didn't really pay enough attention when I read The Ego and Its Own, and, so, I honestly don't know enough about Stirner to have an opinion on him one way or another.

Who am I, this plethora of

Who am I, this plethora of words and ideas, this landscape? To maneuver is to seek peace, where is the oasis where my self can rest?
