Did the meaning of anarchy change recently?

There is nothing anarchistic about any of those people or workshops. Most of them are about the Black Panthers (who were Marxists) or animal liberation (not really related to anarchy).

and everyone is glad you’re not going.

the workshops are there explicitly to shoo you away.

Yes, the Marxists are glad I'm not going to their "anarchist" gathering. Fucking hilarious!!

What I see here is what you said along with old ossified GenX values including played out punk ethos and aesthetics along with the rest of the orthodox 1968 identity values and structures. This is like first international gatherings past there best before date at the end of the 1940s being called anarchists.

The actually anarchy orientated and other interesting people will stay away.

I guess anarchism went suddenly back to 2005, oooor... it's that same Left anarcho crowd of idealist dolts that kept droning around and is pushing that same old cart. Next thing you know NEFAC springs out from its grave. Because it's the bold age of obscure bands coming back and sequels to long forgotten film franchises.

a bit silly that I have to click the link to find out what day this takes place.

He freakin' ripped off Dali cos he had no original ideas and was basically a libertarian socialist, and nothing to do with anarchy.

Dali was born in 1904, and that is enough, nothing more can be said, his influence was omnipresent, without him trying, it just happened. Magnon caught a glimpse of a picture of the young Dali in a magazine whilst visiting some fashionable socialists, who had a passing interest in the Dada movement, which was actually more anarch , which they, like all politicians, appropriated for public relations purposes.

Lol, you’re either a troll or just an idiot who has no idea what they’re talking about. which is either funny or sad

anon is clearly mocking le way, which is still more attetntion than anyone should be paying to LW.
Magon was cool.
this event costs $12 and was partly organized by shawn macdougal, who is newly arrived from LA and a liberal loathed by anarchists who tried to work with him.

Umm, I'm the verified LW, all this is nothing to do with me, just saying, transparent and all shields down.

This event was largely organized by Jang Lee who organized Los Angeles anarcho-punk gatherings mostly at Southern California Library.
Jang would get General Taco and his Black Riders Liberation Party along with older Black Panther Party dudes to talk at each event even though they were completely not related to anarchist theory & practice.
