Coordinated Attacks on 30 State and Capitalist Targets in Athens on Anniversary of Greek Insurrection
From AMW English
On the 11th anniversary of the Greek insurrection, sparked by the murder of anarchist teenager Alexis Grigoropoulos by the police, 30 state and capitalist targets were attacked in 13 different neighborhoods of Athens.
The following is their statement:
“When able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him. If he is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him. If he is irritable, try to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected.”
-Sun Tzu
11 years since the night that defined an entire generation, where everyone had to take a place in a sleeping city, 11 years since we believed everything was possible when RAGE went along with CONSCIOUSNESS…
Eleven years later, we hold the red thread of an uprising firmly and its flame does not go out. That is not to say that it is eradicated, despite the burden of anti-insurgency policies that were imposed by state force in the first years after the December uprising. It did not go away in the misery and social depravity of the “crisis” years. Not even erased in the years when the “carrot” was trying to integrate and subdue more effectively than the repressive whip.
The flame of the insurrection remains lit in the new battle conditions ahead of us. Conditions of defense of endangered structures. Conditions of counterattack against the regime’s assault on our class. A counterattack that must be structured in every workplace, in every neighborhood.
The “battle of the Exarchates” is nothing more than a symbolism for both the power and the world of struggle. Elsewhere, think tanks are targeting with their “anti-lawlessness” rhetoric: breaking social resistance, spreading fear and subjugation. On the other hand, our “Exarchia” is the hotbed of resistance in the social field.
This is what December taught us. That the insurrection takes oxygen through its passage. And we know that it will be judged by the battles that are given, the battles that come.
The “ball” will be thrown back, making “Exarchia” the whole city. Diffusing resistance. Hitting their “omnipotence” there (and when) they expect it the least. Returning the Fear!
