yes this is true (you're both right). but what the easy inversion the comment you replied to points to is the implicit ageism of "immature". we attach a negative connotation to "too" young and "too" old, the supremacy of the producers in their productive years. instead of "immature" one could have said "noxious" for instance, but language policing while you write can induce a writers block, so sometimes colloquial language is used and it's on the reader to critique it and/or read it charitably to get to what's important to grasp from it/
