Indigenous people don't see the accidental spearing of another hunter/gatherer as a " mistake" but as a stupidness of the person who got speared for not seeing it coming and for not making enough offerings to various guardian nature spirits.
It was never a " mistake " . That is a Western, Platonic Greek and Christian concept!
