I really actually appreciated the article. I don't see how it attempts to be the end-all-be-all about Aragorn. I think I can see when reading it that they cared about Aragorn and were trying to honor him in the way they knew how to. Maybe you didn't like what they had to say or that they said it at all or thought they should get permission from his loved ones first, and that's fine. But to say it is in bad faith or insincere or inappropriate or even creepy is baffling.

I was friends with A! and friends with a few of the CT people too. I wasnt all up in their business but I got the impression that while there was tension, there was also at least some mutual respect there too. I get that there is a lot of drama and history between the IGD people and the @ news people (Aragorn! included of course), and that there are social connections between CT and IGD. That association somehow makes what crimethinc has to say invalid? Or maybe because they tabled and/or presented at bookfairs that LBC was excluded from? Or was it just because their politics are too leftist or activist for you?

To be clear, I think anarchists should critique eachother. I think we should all be looking at ourselves and eachother critically, and find ways to think and grow and strengthen the way we engage with the world. That being said, the quest for some kind of purity coming from all the different factions here is fucking disgusting.

I miss Aragorn and the way he engaged with the world. I have so many things I still wanted to talk to him about. I wish he was still here and he is no longer here. We can argue all day about this piece being creepy or A! wanting to encourage critical thought by wanting to talk about ITS or how that is somehow promoting murder or whatever the fuck other drama. But in the end it seems like all you people are are caught up in your entrenched positions and can't see out from the holes you've dug yourselves into. Get a fucking grip.

The most recent time I talked to A!, maybe a month or two before he passed, he talked about feeling worn down by being the target of so many other anarchists disdain (not those exact words but I'm paraphrasing here). I don't think we all need to get along or love eachother or be best friends, but what's your end goal here? Are you going to defeat your 'enemies' and make them believe you're right and they're wrong? Outlast them? You're going to be worn down and feel under attack for a long ass time. Hope the thrill of the drama is worth it. I imagine you'll always have a few people to back you up but its gotta feel so fucking lonely to engage with the world in that way.
