From my contextualizing deserts as green, oceanic etc I would have thought you would withdraw your parochial perceptions from the Arizon/Californian variety with their uniquely cactus-inundated uniformity and broadened outwards, maybe southwards to the cold Patagonian deserts. Reminds me of the Gobi desert, so camelized as all true deserts are, if trueness was measured by the least amount of vegetation and more sand particles., such as the Saharan, or The Zahar if one wants to showoff. The KalahariDesert has a African type feel to it, and the Australian type deserts, specifiçally red sanded to stereo-TYPE them.
