If i had excellent neighbors, and all we knew was quarantine and martial law and we weren’t allowed outside, and one of them threw a cup tied to a string to my window, and the spent the rest of days and nights getting to know each other, sharing our life etc, than i might be inclined to say that cups and strings are pretty awesome.

The reality is cups and string are shit, it’s my neighbors who are awesome, and the situation which gets in the way of our face-to-face shoulder-to-shoulder hand-in-hand interaction is also shit.

If it wasn’t for the internet I would not have had access to books, music etc, and not have “met” awesome people.
As anarchists we value each other in our affinities, but if it wasn’t for the shitty status quo, then the people around us wouldn’t be that bad if they weren’t indoctrinated defenders and reproducers of it.

The internet can be cut off, then all the sudden you are cut from the world. You can be blocked, ghosted, cancelled. All this is nothing if you have a real life, but for those who don’t, the internet is a little faucet of social life simulation and it’s dripping into a little hamster cage with a hamster wheel and forces beyond their control are in charge of what drips and how much and for how long and it can only drip as long as THE EARTH IS RAPED FOR RARE EARTH MINERALS AND FOR FUELS AND MATERIALS AND FACTORIES CHURN OUT COMPONENTS AND HEAPS OF TOXIC TRASH ARE PILED AND

The internet and computers is transhumanism.
