nihilists aren't as angry nor as plenty to make up an "angry nihilistic horde" and they won't even topple a single skyscraper, much less two, much less burn an entire civilization to ashes.
i appreciate the critique this author made of our daily bullshit precarity coping, which includes many ways of selling out and being entrepreneurial normies, but that whole evil villain with a dastardly plot schtick is long tired and no one's buying it.
i think maybe the reason he writes like that is that it's easy to get away with saying grandiose things like "burning civilization to the ground" instead of incriminating specific proposals like hit lists. there's some truth in what some in this camp has said that their only writing worthy of anything is their communiques, by mere fact of not being empty words, but words attached to an action of the type they profess.
i'm sick and tired of this "stealing theory" and "mining their theoretical tool box" and all this bullshit about justifying wasting time with the guilty pleasures of theory, a harmless (read complicit) timekiller just as any, like watching tv or something, or listening to pop music. there's no advantage to be gained by smelling the written farts of authors anywhere.
