"Each of us can reflect back on what made us embrace a philosophy that may have seemed dogmatic at first."

Ah, yes, I was feeling constrained at first by the no rulers, no rules philosophy of anarchy in which I was free to do as pleased.

"Our words are powerful, and many people who went on to become incredible revolutionaries, such as Ricardo Flores Magon, discovered anarchism through reading (combined with experience of course)."

What?! Ricardo Flores Magón knew how to read?! Amazing... I wonder if other famous anarchists read as well.
Still, not my kind of anarchist, supporter of Mexican Liberal Party, anarchism as just another flavor of bland socialism.

"No, I’m not writing this to beg you to read the latest 500 page text posted on anarchist library. I’m sensitive to the need for brevity, although sometimes great length is called for. "

I was already doing that, thank you. Now get to the point, I have some reading to get back to.

"Handing out brief anarchist and other radical text for free on the street is something I have done many times in my city. Although I have no proof, I believe it is an incredibly effective thing for anarchists to do. In military terminology, it could be called a “force multiplier.”"

Effectiveness as a measure of value for an activity, belief without proof as a measure of effectiveness.
I see no problem with that. Plus, I love military rhetoric as much as the next bootlicker.

"I hope you all like these two pamphlets. They’re some of the best intro material I could conjure."

Keep working on your spells, that shit's pretty weak. Even this inhabitoid instagram post that recently got uploaded to the anarchist library does a much better job at doing what you seem to be proposing https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/anonymous-no-more-organizers

"Note that neither of them mention anarchism by name. That’s on purpose. When you do this kind of thing explicitly promoting anarchy/anarchism, it tends to be much more difficult. That’s on purpose."

Ah yes, nothing like leaving out the keyword that would lead them to find more of the thing you would like to promote, to promote the thing you'd like to promote. Nothing like leaning into and reinforcing people's prejudices and current ideology to nudge them to escape that.

"When you do this kind of thing explicitly promoting anarchy/anarchism, it tends to be much more difficult. I guess people just think of the Joker or whatever. Component parts of anarchism, such as anti-racism, freedom, equality, labor rights, feminism and so on are much more popular. Use this."

Ah yes, I too turn to do the opposite thing of what I intended to do when it becomes too difficult.
I thought people liked the "Joker", it got good reviews I think, and was a success at the box office. Maybe something resonated that makes it more memorable than your zine. I wouldn't know, I haven't watched that film.
Component parts of anarchism? Isn't the world as it is just component parts of anything you'd want it to be? Isn't anarchy about having all the freedoms and not just some of the freedoms? About being against all authority and not just some authority?

"Building a new social consensus is slow, difficult and often frustrating, but also rewarding at key moments."

I ain't about that life. But still, many people find it worthy of their time to spread zines as having nothing to do with building social consensus, but rather challenging it and disrupting it. And distributing zines is something anyone can do about any topic that interests them as a way to share their passions. It could be about any given issue. If your intended message was "Zines exist, make and share zines", then thanks for the news? If the message was "the way to build social consensus about anarchism is by pussyfooting and beating around the bush, avoiding the topic altogether or by roundabout vague allusions, or sneaky smarmy demagogy" then... what?!
