"... to say that Hitler was at all concerned with genuine egalitarian principles."

did i actually say that? No. I only said he was arguably a leftist because the crux of his argument was "the plight of the workers", and the super powers involved in the treaty of versaille actually gave weight to his argument that the german people were oppressed. Stalin's group was also involved in this sort of opportunistic populism, even though stalin and hitler were very different people.

News flash: there is no way to know what was on hitler's mind during all of his politiking, anyone who claims to entirely understand his motivations is lying. I'm sure that he thought that there was some sort of an altruistic purpose behind his power trip. Same as Jeff Beezos thinks with all his cash accumulation, and his counteracting of price gougers during the covid crisis, that there is really an egalitarian purpose within all of his hyper-materialist behaviors.

So then, is your conception of a "true egalitarian" an altruistic saint, the kind that are busy making their enemies fat? I have never met such a person, so good luck. If I ever do meet such a person I will be sure to keep them by my side so that I can learn.
