in the article, I was hoping for a discussion of why all those horrible, SELFISH working-class people burn all those fossil fuels, and then revolt in France when a carbon tax is imposed on them.

In the megopolis I work in, we can't afford housing near our work. And the lowest paid workers have to commute from the farthest out. (How SELFISH of them.) In my case, am I supposed to pack all the tools of my trade (including my pole-pruner) on bus, transfer to BART, then haul all this on foot to my first job to "save the Earth"? Might all this not annoy the other passengers sardine-canned into the public transit?
