Hardcore punk is responsible for a LOT of puritanical radical behavior that permeated the zine scenes and found their way to post secondary campus cultures. As someone more into hip hop and metal culture it's unfortunate that those musical cultures did not have more of an affect on anarchism.
I like some of the music which played a big part in structuring gen x era niche metal starting with thrash(and to some extent NWBHM before it) along with helping late 20th early 21st century anarchism as a whole find some memetic existence but god damn if that culture does not represent a continuation of white puritanism.
