Not necessarily, but, I would argue that is is generally better to if you can. I do make some exceptions for self-defence, but, think that nonviolence should considered as a principle and not a precept.

I guess I see the utilization of violence as tyranny itself. My relationship to the whole thing is fairly complex. I don't think that Anarchists in the West need to utilize violent tactics in order to survive.
