So I am looking at some of the stuff van deusen previously did outside the afl, and in vermont. Its hard not to be impressed. have you read the following on the work the green mountain anarchist collective?

And I have also taken the time to listen to van deusen's account of those times and what brought him to work within the afl:

It sounds like one person had an issue with something that happened in a union struggle. And it sounds like there is a desire to hold someone hyper-responsible for a political purity because a few cops are in a union with the person in question (and I got news for you here... as shitty as it may be there are a hell of a lot more then three PDs in most other state afl-cio's). but if we held everyone up to those standards, there would not be many people we would be even talking to these days; really next to no one inside organized labor...). seems self destructive and kind of crazy to go down that road...

even so, very glad to see someone that shares anti-authoritarian values leading a MAJOR union in the united states. this is a big deal, and an important movement development. only "scam" here is the potential agent provokiteer writing comments seeking to yet again divide us.

solidarity with the Vermont afl-cio,
