Holy shit, when I heard someone say that it was easy to raise enough money to purchase property for a land-project (the hard part is finding people who can live that way), I busted a nut wanting to fuck you so hard. Come here, Daddies. PS, Aragorn, anyone who can visit the Bay for a three-month stint working LBC is probably .... close your ears, children .... economically/socially privileged, therefore incompetent. Try harder at (TW) science. Your data-set is dick.

Or, to put it more fairly, they happen to work in tech, which affords them the sort of economic flexibility that working class people enjoyed a century ago … you know, like being able to save enough money in a reasonable amount of time, to not work for awhile and live your life instead? … you know? Before the class war was won?

Just curious, why is the post (from August 30th) with The Brilliant podcast #77 with Nathan Jun not shown on the anews home page, but if I Google it, I can see it. Why is it hidden?

Anews main home page:

Googled anews post with The Brilliant:

How did you know comments could be 154accessed this way and where is the comment number such as 256154?

I didn't, and I'm not sure why that url has the comment number. Are comments numbered?

I was just looking for that posting When I couldn't find it, I thought it was odd, because I remember reading it. So I tried to Google it, and it came up.

How is anews able to hide that posting on the website, but not hide it from Google search? It doesn't seem like it's a cached page either, it seems like a live page. I'm confused.

Comments are going to have an ID assigned to them in the database that powers the website. That's probably the comment number you are seeing in the URL.

The article you mention is not deleted, it's just not being included in the list of articles. There is probably a yes/no flag that can be set on articles in the database that determines whether to include them in the list. So the article itself is still there for the google search robots to index.

I'm not involved in anews, just work in tech and am speculating based on how web platforms tend to work in general.

Thanks. That makes sense now. Strange how anews wants to hide that article, yet not quite hide it.

I recommend anyone posting podcasts upload a copy to for easy download. This site (anews podcast) hasn't been working for weeks. Also soundcloud isnt easy to download with tor, for anyone podcasting on soundcloud archive is much better.
