Dog Magazine interviews ANews
Today we’re visiting ANews far West HQ located somewhere on the Great Lakes in the Gulf of Toronto. During the pandemic we had heard rumours that the far West ANews HQ between pwning noobz in Call of Duty had come across a wee lil Australian Shepherd baby doggo that soon started living amongst. Below you will find the live interview we conducted with the six / seven ANews thecollective mods.
Dog Magazine: Can I pet that dawg?
ANews six / seven: Yes. Honestly, would you mind hanging out with them for a bit? I need a break, they have been following me around non-stop for like months.
Dog Magazine: We heard you are using the working dawg to help moderate ANews, is this true?
ANews six / seven: When the pandemic started, like everyone else, we did the only possible thing and helped a dog find us. At first, sitting around the computer screen reading every-single-comment from anonymous was really cutting into the amount of time playing with the dog. So, naturally we put the doggo to work, since they are also a working dawg like all anarchists and love work, love life.
We started training the dog to use a dog talking and speaking board to communicate with us about moderation tasks. If you’re not sure what this is, it’s a button that when clicked by the dog either with a paw or it’s face, will speak an English word (see article photograph, not actual ANews doggo). When a critical call came down the pipeline from thecollective somewhere in the Caribeean on their yacht during a storm and unable to moderate, ANews mod dog team went into action.
Over time, we were able to train this Australian Shepherd into becoming a full working dawg ANews mod, no longer chasing woodchucks around the farm (okay, there is still plenty of time for that).
Dog Magazine: Amazing. Have there been any complaints from anonymous about moderation?
ANews six / seven: We’ve actually kept analytics about anonymous complaining with dog moderation on and off and have found, unsurprisingly that anon dawg is a mod for the ages and has zero complaints (other than bad breath and the anonymous animal poop we saw they licking the other day and then trying to lick our face after, [that’s how you get bird flu]).
Dog Magazine: What else can you tell us?
ANews Six / Seven: Not much, we have to go because working dog is following us around everywhere and it’s getting kinda annoying.
