The occasion of the Tangpingist Manifesto having turned up on TheAnarchistLibrary.org prompted this series of anti-work readings on Immediatism.
Cancelling the Project by Guillaume Paoli was a listener request from the book DeMotivational Training from Cruel Hospice and Little Black Cart. Cancelling the Project includes Paoli's analysis of how "voluntary servitude" is not entirely voluntary. Citing four influencing factors (habit, festivalization, ideology of the common Good, and structural reasons), Paoli shows us that "servitude is not 'voluntary' in that it does not result from each individual's free choice. But it is also not simply the result of coercion alone." He address expected rejections of these ideas by liberals and leftists. He advocates disengagement as the "appropriate method for waging an asymmetrical war."
Against Leviathan, Against Work by Artnoose is a recollection of a time in their life when they did a lot of reading and reflecting, including the book Against His-story, Against Leviathan alongside a book called Work. This essay has been included in the collection entitled The Spectacle of Society: Writings on Pop Culture from The Anvil Review, available from Little Black Cart.
