From The Brilliant

There is a tendency to be attracted to bad news. Is this regressivist? Are things getting worse? Is something called society fragmenting? In this episode we talk anthropology and animism, the bible and speculation, the academy and truth. Epistemic consistency for the win? We discuss mass shootings (con) and the social media ripple around it. Beta's are discussed. and then society as framed by the book Enemies of Society.

We are still catching up (we recorded episode 9 last Friday). We hope to be caught up next week. This is the first episode where the sound has been fixed so... hurray!

I think it would be helpful to also add tags for the individuals behind this project. I had no idea that Bellamy from Free rad radio was involved in this until I randomly decided to check out the last podcast.

i am listening to the beginning episodes and struck by two things - one, the tech person's interventions are awesome (and he makes some really fun music decisions), and two, that the failure of the mic lends an element of chaos that i totally support.

meta chaos.

The main host (Finch?) should be careful about his slight speech impediments when through a podcast/radio show... I couldn't make up half of the syllables he was pronouncing, so I went repeatedly like "who what what when!?". Same for the names he mentioned. An audio is not like a conversation with someone... all you have here is sound, and no possibility to ask to repeat what he said.

A trick: just take your time to pronounce next time... Fucking relax, breathe and and talk a bit slower. I don't see where was your hurry.
