Ihar Alinevich, Dzmitry Dubouski, Dzmitry Razanovich, Syarhei Ramanau are accused of ‘illegal actions with firearms, ammunition and explosives’ as well as of ‘committing acts of terrorism’, the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.

According to the prosecutors, the above mentioned persons formed a group no later than October 15 and conspired to ‘jointly commit acts of terrorism in order to influence the decision-making by the authorities and destabilise public order’.

In late October, Alinevich’s group was detained not far from the Ukrainian border, it included anarchists Ihar Alinevich, Dzmitry Dubouski, Dzmitry Razanovich and Syarhei Ramanau.

The Interior Ministry said that they found two firearms and ammo, a hand grenade, a nonlethal pistol and ammo, cold steel arms, pepper spray cans, military uniforms and backpacks, tents, sapper shovels, axes, lanterns, laptops and tablets, GPS trackers, video recorders, a camera, pen drives, a Ukrainian SIM card, radio communication aids with hidden headsets, special equipment, gear, bank cards, money in various currencies.

The Belarusian State Security Committee (KGB) claims that they set fire to the traffic police department in the town of Mazyr as well as to the vehicles parked near the building of Salihorsk prosecutor’s office.

In mid February, the KGB updated the list of organisations and individuals who they believe are involved in terrorist activities. Former political prisoners Mikalai Autukhovich and Ihar Alinevich as well as their associates were included in the list.
