“Again and again we are thrown back on ourselves. And recognize: This is the starting point for meaningful relationships that materialize in social upheaval. In the midst of the collapse, cracks are suddenly found in the supposedly impenetrable armor of domination. And we delight in the moments of freedom and practical jokes that emerge through those cracks. To live it out, together and as individuals, experimenting with the choice of means, that's what we understand as anarchy.”
...from the text of the announcement.

On the website of the Anarchist Offline Library non grata (https://nongrata.noblogs.org) you will find more details.

And... due to the occasion (https://emrawi.org/?koordinierte-Razzien-in-Munchen-2140), a public statement that is always valid and particularly urgent: ACAB, Fuck the Police!

Program & Schedule

THU, May 5
@ non grata (Reitschulgasse 17-21)

6-8 p.m.: Library & arrival.
7 p.m.: writing workshop
8 p.m.: book presentation and discussion: “ What is the police? "

“Police do not exist as an institution to be argued against within philosophy, but rather as a logistics of employing force in an effort to produce the impossible, an absolute and total definition of the relationships between things, people, space and movement. We cannot approach the question of the police as something static. In fact, policing is set up as a logistics in space, as something that takes place…”

How can we better understand what constitutes police action so that we don't fall into the trap of limiting ourselves to criticizing police violence and racism. What is she and what does she do? And what gaps open up in their actions to combat them?

The recently translated into German booklet “What is the police?” attempts an answer, the thesis of which I will present with the help of excerpts. We can then discuss this question, “What is the police?” from this booklet or beyond.

4 p.m.: Discussion: Crises and the publication “RASEREI” @ SUb

Based on the new publication "RASEREI" we want to talk about the integration of grief, pain and crises in anarchist struggles. Inevitably, to open up a deeper engagement, we need to engage with questions of anger, patriarchal relationships, agency, and also affinity. So that our incompatibility with this world does not manifest itself in fear, emptiness and depression, we want to engage in arguments that oppose the silence and try to find words for what so often leaves us speechless.
More at (1) below.

from 6 p.m.: Discussion: Anti-Militarism @ SUb

The military conflict in Ukraine and elsewhere in the world forces the question of how anarchists, anti-authoritarians and social rebels can act locally and elsewhere.

There are a number of historical examples that should make it clear that logics such as "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" or "Now for the common cause, fight the great common enemy and once he is defeated, negotiate our differences among ourselves". are none that ever led to an emancipatory future: the confrontation between Bolsheviks, anarchists and SRs against “whites” at the time of the Russian Civil War, the history of the Makhno movement (which was crushed by the Red Army after the “common enemy”, the “whites”, was defeated), the history of the Spanish Civil War, the history of Rojava, etc.

How can anarchists act here in times of military conflict and how can we work together with anarchists on the ground? What does fighting mean outside of a militaristic logic? What emancipatory-revolutionary perspectives are there?
sleeping place exchange

Are you planning to come to Graz for the book fair and don't yet know where to crash OR do you have room in your room in Graz for people from other cities? That's what the sleeping place exchange is for now. We organize it a bit so
that everyone can find something!

Just write to...
pajamaparty2000@protonmail.com
...how many people need what and when and, if necessary, preferences. And if you have space yourself: how many people fit in (are there sofas or should the visitors take sleeping mats etc. with them) and please let us know how we can contact you.

It would be great if there were enough shared flats that could accommodate people for 1-2-3 days! See you in Graz!

PS: We also try to organize nice campsites (incl. infrastructure)...

footnotes and additions

(1) Discussion: Crises and the publication “RASEREI”

“Reacting to this world and its structures with despair, breakdown and numbness doesn't seem too surprising to me. Surrounded by an ever-advancing technological apparatus that imposes strict grids on our world and decides to oppose fantasy and emotionality and robs oneself of the courage to desire anything else at all. Our lives are dictated by exploitation, coercion, control and isolation, creating alienation from ourselves, our relationships, our time and energy. The associated feeling of alienation, the disorientation and the anger about the prevailing conditions have also made us the anarchists we are. And with this lost heart, lets us continue to find other accomplices..."

We lost loved ones, fought our way through crises, pushed our limits and sometimes even exceeded them. Upheaval processes, grief and crises require a lot of strength, stamina and specific confrontations and it can be difficult to think clearly in such overwhelming moments. That's why it can make sense to strengthen discussions among each other in quieter moments, which you can then refer to and deepen. The point here is not to make a moral statement about people's life decisions, but rather to give testimony to the unrestrained pain that stings in our hearts and to show the difficulties associated with some situations and also to make room for overwhelm and powerlessness , which can accompany reactions to psychological processes. This issue sees itself as a small contribution to starting a conversation and discussion on how we can approach our psychological suffering in order to integrate the grief and pain into our struggles and not have to split them off and repress them in order to remain able to act.
