Hey anons, goblins, ghouls, ghosts and hallowed party-goers,

Looks like on the eve of the election there’s going to one hell of a party on Wall Street, one on Capitol Hill and hundreds more in front of banks and other prime locations all over the land.

“We all just need a good night off, to relax and have fun.”

Invite your friends, invite your enemies … bring back the spirit of all Hallows’ Eve by honoring the dead and giving those on Wall Street, Capitol Hill and our fr-enemies at the big banks … A GOOD SPOOK!

for the wild,

Adbusters really aims much of their advertising towards anarchists and anti-authoritarians. They have a done an amazing job of misinterpreting anarchism and getting folks to think that Slavoj Zizek is radical. I was hoping they would go out of business but maybe they sold tons of their blackspot shoes to keep themselves financially afloat.

salvoj zizek is radical, though I doubt anyone at adbusters understands his work....

oh yeah you're right, babbling about how we can "have" a critique of the state, but we need to take state power and that the Left needs to reinvigorate themselves is very radical...

Slavoj Zizek is really radical, as radical as Lenin was...Zizek is a Leninist (http://www.newstatesman.com/ideas/2009/11/381-382-interview-obama-theory )

What was Lenin's relationship to Anarchists again ? Why does history have to repeat itself with little lessons learned ?

He's a fucking Marxist, not a Leninist! Big fucking difference!

Well Lacanian and Althusserian which were neo-Marxist, not Leninist, big difference. Try again, or just be nihilistic and spurn ideologies?

Slavoj Zizek is a Leninist

There's this article where Slavoj Zizek states that he is a Leninist:

He was being ironic and lecturing whilst being under the auspices of Chinese surveillance. Remember that photo of Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin( Lenin's substitute) smiling and sitting together like lovers, whilst they played with the fate of millions? Slavoj IS NOT a Leninist, but a neo-Marxist!! He IS NOT a politician, but a philosopher, a misdirected one at that, but NOT a Leninist, who can sometimes be mistaken for misdirected philosophers with machine guns and a bureaucratic agenda.
Lenin would not partake in toilet humour which is Slavoj's forté!

He seems to me to be a Neo-Marxist who takes Leninist positions.

Zizek seems to be a Leninist who takes Neo-Marxist positions. Ultimately, I think we're both right though.

Zizek wanted to combine his two biggest influences: Lacanian psychoanalysis and poop jokes.

Well I'm a neo-anarcho-nihilist intellectual, mirror stage is significant as is toilet training. Both are milestones in ones perception of being. Can I be any more clinical than this?

What the blazes?? Here's wishing you a traditional celebration in the spirit of a good old fashioned Detroit-style "Devils's Night".

Hello, this is mask.

Hey I'm thinking of bringing you, is that cool?

You know what else is a good spook? The morality of Adbusters and their shit followers.
