From La Nemesi (machine translation by Anarchist News)

We learn with joy of the release of the anarchist comrade Ivan Alocco! The comrade had been arrested a year ago, on June 11, 2022, by the Sous-Direction Anti-Terroriste (SDAT) of the Central Directorate of Police French for an investigation concerning some arson attacks, which took place in Paris and Montreuil between January and June of the same year, against vehicles of Enedis (dependent on EDF, Électricité de France), of the SFR (Société Française du Radiotéléphone), of the newspaper "Est Républicain", belonging to diplomatic corps and against a luxury car. We also recall that since October Ivan has undertaken two long hunger strikes in solidarity with Alfredo Cospito (the first, of 35 days, from October 27 to December 1 and the second, of 32 days, from December 22 to January 23).

Below is the comrade's text about the release (there are still a series of precautionary restrictions).

Ivan is released from prison (France, 12 June 2023)

I got out of prison on June 12. The GIP issued a probation order. The restrictions are:

— ban on going to the Île-de-France region;
— ban on leaving metropolitan France;
— signatures in the gendarmerie once a week;
— I have to deposit my passport and identity card at the court registry.

The decision of the GIP to let me out of prison, quite surprisingly, given that she had recently opposed a request for release, is perhaps due to her desire to "cover" the incompetence of the justice of freedoms. My lawyers have in fact filed an appeal in cassation for a procedural defect, regarding the last renewal of pre-trial detention (the hearing of 24 January). If the Court of Cassation had accepted this appeal, which is likely, it would have confirmed that the judge of freedoms and her secretary are not able to read...

For the time being, the investigation remains open. Last week, on June 5, the ELAC squad of the Villepinte prison searched my cell once again (the sixth time in six months). Stuff was turned upside down, a self-built shelf destroyed and my letters (received) reduced to a mess (as if the prison administration had not already had all the time to read and photocopy them at will). They searched almost only my belongings, almost without disturbing my little brother. A guard even allowed himself to ironically comment on an inscription on the cell door ("Anarchy – freedom") with the phrase "do not count on it".

When I left, the prison clerk gave me a large package of mail (letters that arrived from the beginning of May and those I wrote at the same time), which had been "waiting". There was also a package that arrived on July 22, 2022 (with anarchist periodicals and books in Italian) and that the prison management had decided not to lose out...

A big thank you to all those who have been by my side in this difficult period. Thanks to the Anti-Repression Fund of the Western Alps and the Bure Fund for their financial support. A thought for all the compas (and also all the others) who remain in prison.

Death to jail, death to the State!
Long live Anarchy!
