On October 31st, 2022, the city government of The Hague wants to evict and close social and cultural center De Samenscholing. For more than 6 years, De Samenscholing - which originated in squatted free space De Vloek - has been offering space to many initiatives in Moerwijk. These initiatives include a free shop, the oldest vegan restaurant in the Netherlands: Water & Brood, a concert hall, a recording studio, an anarchist library, various workshops, and many more.

In 2015, after the eviction of De Vloek, De Samenscholing started at a new location with a 10 year contract. However, the municipality revised the contract and has now cancelled it completely. This means that this popular social center - which is an important part of the lives of hundreds of people in The Hague - will have to close after this summer. We don't want to let this happen!

Support De Samenscholing and take action to stop the eviction and closure!
