In September, Aliaksei Halauko had six months added to his six-year sentence under Article 411 (disobedience to prison administration). This information only became public in October. In October, under the same Article 411, Aliaksandar Kazlianka’s sentence was increased by 1.5 years, Pavel Shpetny’s by 2 years, and Jauhen Rubashka’s by 1 year.
In October, it became known that Ihar Alinevich was in punitive cell in IK-20. In August, his prison term ended and he was sent to a colony, but for two months it was not known which one. Concealing information about the whereabouts of political prisoners is a form of pressure on them and their loved ones. After two months in punitive cell, Ihar was transferred to a prison-like facility. It later became known that upon arrival at the colony, Ihar went on hunger strike for a month.
In November, information emerged that Siarhej Ramanau had been hospitalized and underwent surgery. The operation was planned and went without complications. Siarhej’s diagnosis is unknown to us.
On November 22, Maryja Misiuk, a member of the Black Nightingales group who had been sentenced to 13 years for “terrorism,” was “pardoned” and deported to Ukraine. She was 16 years old at the time of her arrest. In December, it became known that other members of the group had received lengthy sentences: Trafim Barysau and Siarhej Zhihaliou—12 years, Dzmitry Zakharoshka—10.5 years, Aliaksandra Rulinovich—10 years and 3 months.
