So the law did what it does and took the rights away from millions in the matter of a day. People showed up in the streets to protest but all theyre doin is beggin the government to give em their rights back. Dont they know thats not how this works? They can post as many instagram stories and hold as many candlelight vigils as they want but shit aint gonna change. A democrat tells me that what theyre doin is spreading awareness so that their guy can get in office and do the thing that gives us our rights back. Bull fucking shit! Their guys in office and let this slide! Im sure as hell not waitin 20 fuckin years for the incremental change to give us the right that was taken away from us in a single day. Whos to say they wont just take it back when their guys outta office? Isnt that what always happens? Well im not fucking havin it. No no no no. Tonights the night it changes. Tonights the night I throw a brick through a fuckin window!

A ballot won’t change the world, neither will a brick through a starbucks window. But whats the use waiting around for electoral change when we can bring that change into being immedtialey? I’m sick of believing the promises for a better future by our leaders and the progressive myth. This civilization is literally gonna kill us all unless we kill it. Y’all gen z nihilist bitches like to think that the world is doomed, well fuckin act like it!

You can demand food to be free and housing to be free all you damn want but you know, hell you even say it yourself, the rulers won’t ever grant that shit! Who the fuck would work for them if everyone was fed and housed? Who would let themselves be ruled if they weren’t afraid of being annihilated? Well guess what?? We don’t have to wait for Joe Biden to be “pushed left”. We don’t have to wait for that ~kinda~ socialist politician to get in power. We don’t even have to wait for the anarcho-communist global revolution! All ya need is the proper tools and some courage.

We needed food for the week. But being broke kids who believe that food should be free, we decided we weren’t payin for that shit. We walked into a grocery store, loaded our bags, n just walked right out the front door.

We needed a home for a homie and a space to plot our evil anarchist shenanigans. We searched around online and on our streets til we found a trash-filled abando with a nice view. We broke into that shit, cleaned it up, changed the locks, and bang! we had ourselves a space with zero dollars rent.

Here’s the idea: Nihilist Pragmatism. People tell us that were being idealistic and utopian when we say that our wellbeing should be for free and we shouldn’t have to work a fuckin minute of our lives. We say its not unrealistic to say that we can make, say, food and housing free right here right now. Some of us shoplift. Some of us dumpster-dive. Some of us scam and some of us squat. When we decided we wanted to work less and have more fun, we just started takin the shit we needed and acting like it was ours to begin with. The pragmatism is in denying hope for a future. If theres no prospects for a better tommorow, why wouldn’t we just take what we need now?

You see, the only way we can escape our immiserated and controlled existence, the only way anyone has escaped this life of modern slavery, was by acting for themselves now. Freedom, anarchy, resistance, liberation, whatever, its all a lived experience, not some far away goal. By beginning now to arm our desires, we actively take back our lives from the adminstrators, the capitalists, the politicians, the police, and the fascists. We open up room for ourselves to experiment with our newfound autonomy. We get brave and we get fed. To hell with waiting.

But what about the masses!? They cry. Who will lift up the tired, the hungry, the poor?? Must we remind you that the only person who can liberate you is yourself! We have rejected the revolutionary subject being the working class. Who is that group of people anyways? It encompasses fascists, law-abiding citizens, informants, conservatives, the religious, the faithful TV-viewers, the social media addicted, and the happy consumers. You mean to tell me all these people have the same interest? Some of them want me dead and some of them don’t have the attention span to read this! To hell with the working class! We have realized the revolutionary subject as ourselves! We’re oppressed just like the rest of the population, the only difference is we won’t be complacent.

Does this mean we don’t care about anyone else but ourselves? Nah. The prescense of any oppression is a threat to us all. It’s just we aint gonna step into some community we ain’t never lived in and enanct some five step solution to liberation. And jeez, we’re tired of trying to spread our politics to our neighbors. The ones who fuck with us will find us and stick around, the ones who don’t, don’t. All we can hope for is that our actions spread by contagion and seduction, which damn they sure as fuck do. We know damn well we wouldn’t be doing what were doing if those rowdy peeps didn’t burn down that precinct or punch that nazi. And i know plenty of kids who wouldnt be out there spreadin anarchy if it wasn’t for them getting hot by my uncontrollable anarchist swag.

So no more of that campaignin shit, no more of that activist crap, no more of this self-help bullshit. I just wanna fight. I just wanna DESTROY! World is a fuck. Kill em all. Nihilist pragmatism FTW!

I share the feels and beliefs expressed above, especially about quit paying for stuff, waiting and revolution, and live by this. Tho you're telling me I can't be part of your cult just because of an age thing? Is this due to yet another polycule gimmick? Of the writer is an oldie who's into kids?

"illegalism", we used to call it! and it was already weirdly earnest and overly theoretical back then! all the other crooks thought we were nerds because yup! persuading people to be outlaws is either really easy cuz they already are OR it's impossible cuz they're sniveling, dainty little never-dos!

anon (not verified) Wed, 01/03/2024 - 13:50

relative to a lot of the posts and articles here. However, it's not nihilism to believe everything should be free...i only remain out of jail having committed all my shoplifting sprees because I mix it with being a flat out normie.

Here's your practice for pretending to me normal: "The weather is ________ today." Scamming is boring and is a lot of work most of the time, i get all these people trying to call me and ask for money and i do is insult them.

anon (not verified) Thu, 01/04/2024 - 05:41

TL;DR
find a way to make your lifestyle compatible with capitalism, because all of the unitiated poor people are problematic and cringe

how is the crime advocated for in the article compatible with capitalism? just because it doesn’t build towards an imaginary revolution (christian heaven) doesn’t mean it doesn’t conflict with the underlying values of capitalism (property, money, morality, etc.). petty crime has brought far more freedom and sparked far more insurrections than any revolution ideology or program.

Crime is a part of the law. It is not outside of it. It is literally the product of it. As a life long shoplifter, I can red clearly that small acts of crime are very very normal and a part of the status quo

zimple (not verified) Sat, 01/06/2024 - 15:20

obviously crime is a product of law when crime is defined by the law. who fucking cares? so are far more extreme crimes than shoplifting and many aspects of revolutionary organizing. if it makes me happy and more free i will do it no matter what the law says about it.

Where have all the talented anarchist writers gone? After reading the gifted writers like Wolfi, Jean, Bey, Bonanno, Novatore, Emma, etc. this new wave of poorly penned pieces simply are dull AND cringe.

How can any anarchist writer inspire or reach anyone if their writing isn't inspired (and don't say they don't care to because they wouldn't have published it otherwise)?

Look, if you're going to try and write inspiring things you have to read inspiring people otherwise your rants end up sounding like cringe social media whinings.

Anews should be more critical too of what they publish.

Stop with the lameness. Do better, people.

anti-capitalist rebellion...and i don't have a problem with rebelling against capitalism, but the whole "how dare anything cost money" is pretty stale at this point.

did u even read the article? that sentiment isnt expressed… maybe in the line “we think food should be free” but thats literally only one part of one sentence. the article is about increasing one’s own freedom, not necessarily rebelling against capitalism.

However, it's once again a rehashed Crimethinc./hippie/warzone-distro type of proclamation and it's better as piece of juvenile entertainment rather than some serious analysis. I shoplift too. I'm never going to tell someone i have a right to something though unless it's totally necessary.

All of the anarchist writers you mentioned share a common trait that seems to be very rare these days. They actually read, and predominantly non-anarchist writers. Between social media, blogs, Wikipedia, etc there doesn’t seem to be much engagement with any ideas that might require the inconvenience of reading an entire book or leaving one’s comfortable online echo chamber.

Entries from "Contradictionary: A bestiary of words in revolt."

Illegalism.
A monastic sect of Anarchism. Consists mostly in ritual displays of contempt for the damned and their institutions. The capstone of illegalist monastic tenure is a martyrdom in the US legal system, seen as the ultimate proof of one's devotion to their beliefs. (See Anarchism, Insurrectionary)

Nihilism.
- (Historical) A suicidal Russian bookclub
- (Contemporary) Various

  • The sincere conviction that holding sincere convictions is shameful or narcissistic.
  • A cognitive disability common among intellectuals suffering from a hyper-fixation on critique. Symptoms include sneering from the sidelines, fencewalking, and depression.
  • Insurrectionary Sadomasochism.

that most nihilists will suffer inevitably from depression and confusion...i prefer nihilism as either that life has no inherent meaning, or Nietzsche's "re-creation of values", even though i don't believe he ever called himself a nihilist.

I didn't even know that US nihilists martyred themselves, I thought that was just the Russian nihilists.

Yes exactly, he declared the death of god and all escatological faiths which valued martyrdom, which in layman terms for the illiterates who haven't/can't read Nietzsche, is an immortality in heaven after death!
However, his "eternal recurrence" still retained a mystical faith in an afterlife, and he therefore contradicted his earlier opinions.

NoOo, he would agree with me if he were here. Remember he even critiqued his own "The Birth of Tragedy" which he wrote in his 20's! Later, with knowledge and experience, his earlier works annoyed him, in the same way he " could possibly" agres with mee. Unfortunately he isn't around to dispute my interpretation, and so it still stands, as a logical argument.
My suggestion, don't just read Neech, rather, THINK LIKE HIM!! As I do.

anon (not verified) Fri, 01/05/2024 - 05:53

In reply to by anon (not verified)

I don't know if the translation here is correct (i do not speak german) but here is the actual quote from zarathustra, it both supports the re-creation interpretation (i admit i just saw people on the internet talk about it, and i haven't read xarathustra yet) and the revaluation interpretation:

“Values did man only assign to things in order to maintain himself -- he created only the significance of things, a human significance! Therefore, calleth he himself "man", that is, the valuator.

Valuing is creating: hear it, ye creating ones! Valuation itself is the treasure and jewel of the valued things.

Through valuation only is there value; and without valuation the nut of existence would be hollow. Hear it, ye creating ones!

Change of values -- that is, change of the creating ones. Always doth he destroy who hath to be a creator.”

Now, the funniest part is that the great neech doesn't appear to be advocating for anything, so we were all wrong about this in a sense: he's clearly not calling for anything, but neech-splaining values.

One of Zarathustra's earliest lessons:

"Man is a rope stretched between beast and the overman—a rope over an abyss."

Your Reddit education and partial reading of Neech must be overcome.

Understand?

A representive of a real dead person. Didactic anarchism is fucking stupid, when i read nietszche, i read his books, and experience has showed me empty hand waving is always done by people who don't know what the fuck they are talking about. You are just like the redditors: you think "this is bad and untrue" is enough in terms of a criticism...as if pressing an arrow meant anything at all.

yeah, i'm with you. pretty convinced fred was an over-rated windbag too

his actual story about his life strongly indicates as much, a charlatan who watched his legacy of egomania resonate with the rising fascist movements around him, towards the end of his life.

he railed against it, of course but his circular logic and self aggrandizing tirades has taken on a life of their own and galvanized thousands of other special-little-boys who wanted to be cult leaders... and i forget how the story ends?

think maybe another special little boy eats his own gun in a bunker on the outskirts of berlin? but whatever, not important

you could always read about it more if you somehow ... some way, haven't encountered fred's considerable influence and public denouncing of the rising fascist movements in germany? he's literally a proto-nazi and then got in to fights with them about it but like, he'd already helped created the monster and no amount of crying about it would put the genie back in the bottle.

anyway, read about it. it's a scream! sad windbag loser regrets results of being a sad windbag loser. oopsie doo, accidentally gave rise to the 3rd reich

your neat analysis of neech as a person. I'm just pissed off about all the so-called neech fans online who keep treating him like a religious figure, and who step all over you if you somehow say something not in line with their lord.

I recommend the Kaufman translation of "All Too Human" if you want to see some of his best work. I also liked his translation of the gay science, even i admit there were sections i just didn't connect with. All too human is the more direct and less mystical of neechees works IMO.

How dare you, reduce this to fandom status! I LIVE and BREATH Neech and Maxi, If he were here now he would agree with me. It is a minor discrepancy, not as severe as The Birth of Tragedy. Hey, he would include himself as flawed just like the whole of humanity, that was the point of his best works. Simmer down?
