May 23-25, 2026
Kampeerterrein tot Vrijheidsbezinning (Aekingaweg 1a)
Appelscha, Netherlands
https://pinksterlanddagen.org/
An anarchist festival that takes place every year on the campingterrain ’tot Vrijheidsbezinning’ in Appelscha during the pentacost weekend. It is a gathering for anarchists and everybody who is inspired by anarchism. The weekend is filled with workshops, lectures and discussions about anarchism and the social struggle. There is a special and fun program for children and in the evening there will be a cultural program.
PL26 will happen from the 23rd to the 25th of may.
We are very busy organising PL26. If you have questions or suggestions, contact us via pl[at]puscii.nl. And keep an eye on this website for updates!
Callout for input!
PL26 is coming up fast, and is screaming for input! Do you have an idea for a talk, do you want to organise a discussion, do you play in a band, are you into puppetry, do you want to screen a movie, or do you wan to share your skills? Cool!
There’s room for a broad spectrum of subject, as long as there’s a connection with anarchism and the struggle for a free and honest world. Those subjects can take form in a discussion, infotalk, conversation, debate or skillshare. ‘Workshops’ is what we call them all, but they can take all kinds of shapes.
There’s also room for cultural program. Art, music, plays, games, poetry, for young and old, we’re open to a lot of stuff.
Find the form to fill out here, and mail it to us before sunday april 4th.
Note: not every submission will end up in the program. We take care to forge a diverse weekend spotlighting different angles and subjects. Time and space are not endless, so choices have to be made.
Entrance fees
Entrance fees are a difficult subject. On one hand it’s logical to keep the PL accessible for people with a small budget. On the other hand, it’s quite a challenge to organise it, and there’s no getting around making a bunch of expenses. Most people don’t ask full price, but still: the campsite isn’t free*, there’s printing costs, stands need to be rented, there’s some travel expenses, something might break that needs to be replaced or repaid, etcetera.
A weekend ticket has been 20 euro’s for years, 12,50 for a weekend. Every prices anywhere has risen, but the PL hasn’t changed.
And to be fair: we do get by. Only júst, but we do. When we have 300 visitors, we break even. But that means we have to do everything as cheap as possible. De budget is véry tight, and that sometimes shows in the quality of the PL.
For instance: at the moment we can’t cover all the travel expenses for people contributing to the program. Let alone decently paying musicians. Luckily most people doing workshops don’t ask to be covered, cause they were coming to Appelscha anyway**. But say we wanted to get a speaker or collective from a bit further away, we wouldn’t have the budget.
There’s a bunch of cases like these where the lack of funds puts a brake on the organisation and development of the PL.
That’s why we’re upping the prices. That sucks, but we think it’s needed and not out of proportion. Cause ofcourse: it has to be possible for the less affluent to attend. But if we’re honest, there’s a bunch of PL-regulars for whom 20 isn’t a lot of euro’s. To give a bit of perspective: outside of the PL camping on the site for three nights with one person and a small tent would run you 18 euro’s. Without using power.
The standard fee is gonna be 30 euro’s, or 15 for a day. But: it’s also fine to pay 20 or 40, if that better fits your situation. For a day that’ll be 10 and 20.
We leave that decision up to you, no questions asked. We trust that anarchists are honest with stuff like this..
We ask for your understanding in all of this. This tenner is gonna give the budget some air, and make it possible to make the PL even better in the coming years.
If you’ve got any feedback or questions, hit us up through pl[at]puscii.nl.
* in the monetary sense
** cause as the header of our site says: An Anarchist is in Appelscha during Pentacost!
When is the Pinksterlanddagen?
The Pinksterlanddagen (or PL for short) takes place every year in the weekend of pentecost (the christian holy day). In 2026 that’s the 23rd, 24th and 25th of may.
The main program is on Saturday and Sunday, you can arrive on Friday afternoon and stay untill Monday morning after we clean the terrain together.
and where?
The Pinksterlanddagen take place on campsite ‘tot Vrijheidsbezinning’, Aekingaweg 1a in Appelscha, the Netherlands.
How do i get there?
You can get there by public transport. A bus to Appelscha goes from the trainstations in Assen and Heerenveen.
If you come by car there’s a parking terrain outside the campsite.
What is ‘crew only’?
At the PL we don’t have visitors and crew. As anarchist we can expect from ourselves and eachother that we all do our part.
Ofcourse there’s an organising group who arrange everything and keep oversight. But they can’t do anything if everyone else just comes as a consumer. So do stuff! Organise a workshop or share the promo beforehand. But most important is during the weekend itself: help out. at the infostand you’ll find a list of shifts you can take at the canteen, or what needs to be cleaned, and stuff like that.
What does it cost?
We use a sliding scale for the entrance fees. The base price for a weekend ticket is 30 euro’s, or 15 for a weekend. But if it fits your situation better, you can also pay 20 or 40 for the weekend, or 10 or 20 for the day.
These prices have changed this year. Read this post about the how and why.
How abouw food and drinks?
We have a canteen where some food and drinks are sold. There’s a small shop with bread and spreads. Everything is vegan, organic where possible, and not too expensive.
Dinner (and oftentimes lunch) will be taken care of by Rampenplan, an experienced action-kitchen who have been giving us great vegan and organic food since the early 80’s.
Foodtickets for dinner will be available at the infostand. They are sliding scale €4-8, the costprice is somewhere in the middle so please be honest.
Can i take my children?
The Pinksterlanddagen are certainly fun for kids too! There’s a kids program for different ages, there’s a playground and the surroundings are quiet and green.
What is an ‘A-team’?
The A is for Awareness. If you run into trouble with someone else at the terrain, you can ask the A-team for help. They will check in with you and see what needs to happen to deal with the situation. Or, if that’s what’s needed, lend a confidential ear.
In the info-booklet and posted on the infostand there will be a phone number to reach them. Or ask for the A-team at the infostand.
If you want to contact them before the PL, you can do so through PL[at]puscii.nl.
Are there any more houserules or tips?
The campsite is next to anarchist also anti-militarist and alcohol and drug free. We expect the visitors to respect this.
Leave dogs at home, unless they are service dogs ofcourse.
No cars on the campsite
Bring your own tent and sleeping gear. Campervans are also welcome, but space is not endless.
Don’t forget your mosquito stuff!
Taking part
Everyone is welcome to add something to the Pinksterlanddagen. Whether it’s a workshop, talk or discussion, or something else like music, theater, skillshares, art-exhibitions or whatever, there’s room for anything.
Fill in this form and send it to PL[at]puscii.nl before sunday 4th of april, and we’ll have contact. Note: not everything that’s sent in automatically gets programmed. Timeslots are not endless, and choices have to be made.
If you’re late in doing this, we can always see during the weekend if we can improvise something. Find us at the info-stand.
