Hey, can someone explain / point me to previous explanations, as to why anarchistnews posts older than half a year are inaccessible?
Or even better, if they still *are* accessible somehow/somewhere?

something something, edit url, use tags, find a magic search bar, use google. good luck

If I remember correctly, there are more details in one of the podcasts from around that time.
your history will be ashes. your archives reduced to a flitting in the breeze.
they will forget the acronym of your actions; your URLS will be blown away on the sands of time.
ok mom
ah, a good ol’ databasic cataclysm, well that explains i guess. I was a little afraid i’d missed a move to some sort of "let’s lobotomize communal memory further than 6 months back" policy. ( = DONNY DON’T!)
I gather rather this is an anomalous anocalypse. Any progress/probability prognosis regarding rescue/restoration?
(BTW if the same "Day Zero" accounts for the switch to this more "old anarchistnews" style site layout, i absolutely approve that!
(I don’t as ardently anymore follow anarchistnews so i fast fall off the wagon WRT what where when. But the "new" layout that was introduced at some point was a PITA IMO. KISS!
(Keep It Simple, Stupid!) ) )
