PROJEKT (A)

With the following documentary we seek to tension the close link that is sometimes assumed between anarchism and social movements. To this end, it is important to point out that those unwary who seek to give a solid body to social movements will probably spend their time persecuting them, because they have done nothing more than hinder and delay the fight against the State and its defenders. In the same way, they may also spend their time illusively believing that through their struggles the mobilizing germ of total liberation will travel, and the fact is that anarchy cannot live on fire within a society that is constituted and develops under the wing of the moral ideas held by the social movements, because to date, for us anarchists, this has only generated harmful damage. The majorities of society have only generated prejudices against those of us who embrace anarchist ideas, in our relentless pursuit of seditious attacks, both in word and in action, have generated friction and have been targeted and even denounced countless times, and under that point, is that we wonder what are the real possibilities of achieving any expression of freedom, and is that within the constraints that these social movements self-impose, surely none, and to give a clear example of how some behaved, is that we do not forget the betrayal, persecution and harassment of the Bolsheviks to the anarchists during the Russian revolutionary process.

Understanding the political violence and the moment in which it is necessary to raise the attack expressed in spontaneous organizations, is that we twin with the values proposed by the T.I.A. (Tendencia Informal Anarquista – Informal Anarchist Tendency). Because we understand that Anarchy does not limit itself to be the «alternative». the «alternative», much less in being the peaceful «alternative» to capital, but rather in being to capital, but it is understood as the highest negating and destructive expression of the negating and destructive of the moral order, and it is from this expression that it throws itself into combat, taking it beyond its limits, outside of any authoritarian framework and institution. To conclude, however, there are some questions that, without falling into personalism, we have decided to raise by way of analysis: Can Anarchy turn from the indomitable wind into a social organization? What is the stake of the social movements? Is it really the foolproof search for freedom?

Presentation of the documentary by the filmmakers

Anarchists are hooded teenagers in black dresses who upset Berlin and Hamburg by throwing stones on May 1, they are punks with safety pins in their face, wearing tattered clothes and leather jackets who tap grannies for money. Anarchy is chaos. Anarchy is the horror scenario of every decent citizen.

Our protagonists are anarchists. They dream about a free society. They draft their concrete ideas of a different world and try to implement them in their lives. They are convinced that humankind can live without domination, without state – from a present-day perspective this seems to be an absurd idea. But the five protagonists are not alone in their beliefs. Real socialism failed more than 20 years ago and capitalism constitutes as a condition of permanent crisis. Anarchist ideas – in contrast – are spreading in large parts of the burgeoning social movements.

Regardless of whether in Spain, Greece or Germany, the protagonists stand up for their ideals. Anarchy is a radical approach of constituting society, rocking the capitalist world order in its foundation. That’s exactly why it is so compelling in these times. In the last four years, we, as a film team, came upon a broad network of mavericks of old and new revolutionaries, who look back on a long tradition of activism. We have found a broad movement, whose advocates diverge widely in their ideas and their implementation.

The starting point of the film is whether if anarchistic ideas are just visions of a few people or if those ideas could be some kind of blueprint for all of society.
