Rubicon Donates Tons of Necessities to Athens Nursing Home

From Greek Reporter

News websites in Greece have been known for years for reporting incidents of vandalism involving the controversial Greek anarchists’ group ”Rubicon.”

However, the coronavirus pandemic has brought nearly an endless array of changes in such a short period of time, one of which is a work of charity carried out by members of the Rubicon on Monday in Athens.

Hundreds of bags with groceries and other necessities were donated by members of the infamous Greek anarchist group to the nursing home of the municipality of Athens.

“Today we visited the Athens Nursing Home, following its appeal to meet its needs with essentials and cleaning products, to take care of the health and dignity of the elderly it hosts. With the help of those who responded to our call, we were able to gather several products,” the Rubicon stated in their announcement.

The group concluded its statement by saying ”All we have is each other.”

The Rubicon (known in modern Greek as “Rouvikonas”) is an activist anarchist collective based in Athens, which was formed in 2013 in the middle of Greece’s severe financial crisis.
